EATON G80 LOCKER Demonstration Video (Chevrolet Silverado)
Showing the EATON G80 locking differential working in a variety of
situations (mud, snow, wet pavement) and giving a brief description about
it and its use in the beginning of the video.
*I state in the video this is designed to be a LOW SPEED traction device.
How ever in the video you'll see me spooling up the tires quite a bit. It
isn't recommended to put this unit through that type of abuse, an LSD is
better suited for that. But this came in the truck when I bought it and it
works, and I just like having fun with my gear and pushing it to its limit.
I am fully aware of the consequences in terms of catastrophic differential
Hope you find this video helpful!

Chevrolet Silverado 1500 G80 Locker Operation
THis is a video showing the operation of the Eaton locker that GM puts in
there 1500,2500, and maybe 3500 trucks from 1999 to the current year. You
can identify if you have the locker by looking in the glove box for the RPO
code G80. Or, if youre still unsure, you could do what i did, smoke the
tires, go off roading, rock crawling and numerous donuts and break the damn
A word of caution! They are NOT durable!!!!!!!!! Nor are they Cheap! They
are not meant to be "abused" .
Sorry for the lousy focus too

done in two wheel drive to show how well it works.
