The 2012 Porsche Cayman R was one of the most-anticipated cars to ever come through the Roadfly office. The car's stats are simply stunning: 0-60mph in 4.7 sec. 330hp @ 7500rpm, 2855 lb. Even the door handles have been replaced with nylon tabs to reduce weight.
The results are predictable. The Cayman R is virtually telepathic, to the point that it nearly bores you. It's so free of vice that you start to feel that it's just like a normal, civilized car, with a tad more immediacy...and you wonder what the big deal is. Only when you go back to your daily driver do you realize how responsive the Cayman actually is.
It's a nearly perfect machine. It makes few compromises that interfere with spirited driving, but still manages to be completely docile, tractable, and even practical with its two trunks and stellar reliability. It also gets great fuel mileage, at 19 city and 27 highway when equipped with the 6-speed manual.
Ever gone to a movie that didn't blow you away at first, but weeks later you're still thinking about it and can't get it out of your head? That's what my days with the Cayman R left me with. This car is definitely on my 'short list' of cars I want to own before I die. It's slightly expensive with a starting MSRP of $66,300, but given how well-built Porsches are in general and how good their resale values are, the price is fair in my opinion.

The latest Volkswagen Jetta shares its looks with the larger Volkswagen Passat, as VW tries to distance its compact saloon from the Golf that it shares many of its components with.
The latest model has a longer wheelbase than the Volkswagen Golf, so there's more cabin space, while the car looks smarter, thanks to a shorter rear overhang for the saloon boot. As with the rest of the VW range, the Jetta is built to a high standard from high quality materials. Engines include the firm's 1.4 TSI petrol, plus 1.6 and 2.0-litre TDI diesels. The 1.6 TDI is also offered with VW's BlueMotion Technology pack, which saves fuel by turning the engine off when the car is in neutral.

In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth look at the very rare and quite bold 1988 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole. Only 658 examples were produced from 1988-1989 before the introduction of the Diablo. " The rear 'air boxes' were restyled and enlarged, while the vents behind them were changed so that they ran front to back instead of side to side. In addition, a new air dam and side skirting, both with air intakes, were fitted, and the taillights were restyled to be narrower, with body-colored panels replacing the upper and lower parts of the previous large taillights. The styling changes were unpopular with many, particularly since the intakes had strakes in them that appeared to mimic those on the Ferrari Testarossa, but they improved the engine's cooling, a problem the Countach had always struggled with. It also featured 345/35R15 tires; the widest tires available on a production car at the time " (Wikipedia). During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. But the Jetta has a few tricks up its sleeve to set is apart from the rest of the pack. First, Volkswagen is the only non-luxury German automobile manufacturer. This means you can expect a high level of quality and luxury in each vehicle Volkswagen produces. Second, the 2012 Volkswagen Jetta has a very low base price at $15,515 making is one of the least expensive vehicles in the compact sedan segment. Finally, the Volkswagen Jetta is produced right here in the Good Old U.S.A. at a plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This is great for those looking to buy automobiles that support jobs in America.
There are more than 50 different trim levels on the 2012 Volkswagen Jetta. These include variations on engines, feature packages, and body style (sedan or wagon). The very base model starts at $15,515 with the SEL seen here starting at $23,445. The top of the line model is the TDI Wagon with sunroof and navigation going for $29,220.
The engine choices are plentiful with 4 different engines being offered on the 2012 Volkswagen Jetta. The first engine is the most basic. This 2.0 liter 4-cylinder has 115 horsepower and 125 lb-ft. or torque while getting 24 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. The next engine up is the 2.5 liter 5-cylinder making 170 horsepower and 177 lb-ft. of torque while getting 23 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. The next step up is the turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder found on many Volkswagen vehicles. This little engine is found on the GLI trim and puts out 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft. of torque while averaging 22 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. The last engine is the venerable TDI which is a turbocharged and direct injected diesel engine. This 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine makes 140 horsepower and a huge 236 lb-ft. of torque while returning 30 MPG in the city and 42 MPG on the highway. All of these fuel economy figures are with the 6-speed manual transmission installed. With the Automatic transmission the figures drop just a bit.
The 2012 Volkswagen Jetta has a ton of usable interior space. In fact the Jetta seems more like a mid-size than a compact sedan. There is over 3 feet of rear legroom which according to VW is more than most large sedans. And with the Wagon model you can get 67 cubic feet of cargo space. There is an optional seating surface called V-Tex leatherette which looks and feel like leather but cost much less. The Jetta SEL comes standard with heated front seats as well. Since the SEL is one of the more expensive trims it does come loaded with lots of great technology. There sound system is a 400 watt Fender Stereo with a subwoofer and 8 speakers. A touch screen navigation system is also standard on the 2012 Volkswagen Jetta SEL.
The Jetta is available in many different trims and configurations so that there will be a model to suit you. The 2012 Volkswagen Jetta is a great deal as it is one of the most fuel efficient compact sedans on the market.
