Fasten your seat belt and get ready to haul ass. S30 Z cars own the road on the track, street and strip.
This music is not my property and is being presented here for entertainment purposes only. 'The Datsuns' are a popular hard rock band from New Zealand who debuted in the year 2000. 'Supergyration' is one of their earliest songs, which was also released as a hit single.

3.1L 240Z vs. the Ozark Mountains
Some [conservative] horseplay in my 1971 3.1L 240Z before putting my new
race motor away for the winter. This is NOT a performance driving video,
just some fun on an awesome road.
This is first time I've driven the road, so I'm a little more confident
after 3:00. (I found it on Google Earth then trailered my car there.)
Some highlights, since it's not exactly a concise video:
1:55 downhill stretch, crossing Beaver Lake
2:40 more aggressive driving begins
4:00 scared myself a bit
4:40 traffic encountered
5:00 engine vs. open highway

Dare to Be Different in a Datsun 240Z
Owner Dave Scholz, shares his connection with a Japanese cult classic that
could easily be regarded as the 911 of Japan. Its iconic beauty, modular
mechanics, and desirability inspired Dave to heed to Datsun's famous racing
campaign of the '70s, "Dare to be different."
American heads spun when the 1970s ultimately snuffed out their beloved horsepower-drunk
muscle cars. As the world watched them squirm for performance, Japan was
busy developing the 240Z to bring a new thrill to American roads using
balance, harmony, and technology.
"Datsun didn't invent the overhead cam engine, or disc brakes, or
independent suspension but it has a habit of incorporating these
sophisticated systems into brilliantly conceived and easily affordable
cars." (Car and Driver; June, 1970)

Datsun Z cars, 30 years later
Early Datsun Z's, starting with the 240Z raised the bar and set the
benchmark for affordable sports car peformance 30 years ago. OverDrive TV
takes a look at this influencial Japanese sports car. Including a look at a
