Everything That You Wanted To Know About Tires
In this video, Jeremy from 1A Auto explains everything about car and truck tires. Read below for helpful tire math, and the Speed, Load, and Class quick references. We cover: - Tire Sizes - Tire Age - Tire Construction - Tire Speed Ratings - Tire Load Ratings http://blog.1aauto.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Tire-Speed-Rating-Quick-R eference.jpg Here is a Tire Load Rating Quick Reference http://blog.1aauto.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Tire-Load-Rating-Quick-Re ference.jpg Here is a Quick Reference for Tire Classes, Construction, and Acronyms http://blog.1aauto.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Tire-Acronym-Quick-Refere nce.jpg Bonus info (because we love math)! Want to figure out how wide a tire is in inches? Just multiply the width by the magical number .03937. Example Tire Size: 235/45/17 235 x .03937 = 9.25 inches wide (This is the width at the widest. Usually the tread itself is slightly less, because the tire "balloons" slightly at the sidewalls.) Want to figure out the overall height of a tire in inches? Just do the math below. It's easy! Example Tire Size: 235/45/17 235 x .45 = 105.75 (That's the total height of the sidewall in millimeters. Now we need to convert it to inches.) 105.75 x .03937 = 4.16 inches Now since the diameter of the entire tire includes two sidewalls and a wheel diameter, we have to add them all up... 17 + 4.16 + 4.16 = 25.32 inches More Tire Information Here: http://www.1aauto.com/content/articles/tiresizeguide

2013 Toyota Tundra takes on Ford, Chevy & the Ike Gauntlet Mashup Towing Test ( Episode 1 )
( http://www.TFLtruck.com ) The 2013 Toyota Tundra Pickup is built to tow. But is it better than the Ford F-150 and the brand new Chevy Silverado? We decided to find out by putting all three pickups up against each other in a Mega Mashup by having them tow the old Lincoln Continental Mark V Diamond in the Rough up one of the steepest and highest American Highways. From Dillion, Colorado to the Eisenhower Tunnel U.S. I-70 climbs 8 miles to a maximum elevation of 11,158 feet or 3,401 meters. That's enough elevation and grade to test the most powerful of pickups. Is the Toyota Tundra up to the task of towing a over 7,000 pounds up to the top of the tunnel? In fact according to Toyota this pickup can tow up to 9,000 pounds. That's enough weight to need a commercial truckers license in most states. In this first TFLtruck Ike Gauntlet video review we test the truck up the Ike Gauntlet see how fast it will tow over 7,000 pounds of old American Luxury car 8 miles up a 7 percent grade to the Eisenhower tunnel with the help of our friend Kent from ( http://www.MrTruck.com ).
