CTS-V Coupe Race Car Photography
Cadillac today released the first photographs of the CTS-V Coupe race car, which will debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on Monday, Jan. 10. Cadillac announced last month it was re-entering the Sports Car Club of America World Challenge GT racing series for the 2011 season, which begins March 25-27 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Johnny O'Connell, a three-time GT1 champion in the America Le Mans Series, and Andy Pilgrim, who won the 2005 SCCA World Challenge GT class in a Cadillac, will be behind the wheel of the CTS-V racecars. The first on-track tests will be conducted in late January at Sebring International Raceway.

2014 Cadillac CTS V Sport Review and Road Test
Check out my other videos! http://vid.io/xqoB
Who is Alex? Find out here! http://vid.io/xqoF
Let's be honest, it has been quite some time since Cadillac has been "the
Cadillac" of anything. With the 2014 CTS V-Sport, Cadillac is aiming to
turn the clock back to Cadillac's heyday. The 2014 V-Sport isn't the value
option in the segment and it isn't even the cheapest option when you really
think about it. Instead Cadillac has done something that many detractors
thought impossible for an American brand: they quite simply made the better
sedan. The 2014 V-Sport may bring a V6 to a V8 fight, but after a week with
Caddy's new sport sedan it was easy to pick the winner. Unless you're
looking to deck your BMW, Mercedes or Audi up with rare and expensive
options, the CTS does just about everything the Germans can only better.
Are you shocked? I was. Join me to find out more.

Cadillac CTS-V World Challenge Rips Up Detroit GP - /SHAKEDOWN
Leo Parente and ShakeDown visit the Cadillac Racing SCCA World Challenge
team as they take on the Detroit GP. CTS-V did its own work on the Belle
Isle track ripping up the world-class competition [not the track, like
IndyCar did] winning both WC races. As the event was held in the backyard
of GM Headquarters, a few Cadillac engineers / execs [and the Pratt &
Miller team] provided us the opportunity to explore exactly how Cadillac
bridges the connection between racecar and road car - Technology, Process,
and Passion make the trip.
And thanks, Cadillac Racing video team, for the on-board footage.

• Ford Vertrek concept is built on Ford's global C-segment platform,
which will underpin more than 2 million vehicles globally by 2012
DETROIT, Jan. 10, 2011 -- Ford Motor Company today unveiled its vision for
a sleeker, sportier and more stylish compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) at
the 2011 North American International Auto Show. The Ford Vertrek concept
previews the company's ambition for a next-generation, global compact SUV
that could lead the industry in both design and fuel efficiency.
The Ford Vertrek concept is based on Ford's global C-segment platform,
which includes the all-new Ford Focus range launching early in 2011 in
North America and Europe, plus the latest C-MAX and Grand C-MAX
multi-activity vehicles. It represents the vision of the company's top
design and engineering talent on how best to attract and satisfy future
sport utility vehicle customers around the world.
"Vertrek concept is a no-compromise solution we feel utility vehicle
customers will embrace around the world," said Derrick Kuzak, Ford group
vice president of Global Product Development. "It is a revolution compared
to what is typically seen in this segment in North America and is a stylish
evolution compared with products outside North America. This new design is
sleeker and more fuel efficient and delivers the capability, including
people and cargo volume, customers demand globally."
The Ford Vertrek concept combines the best of Ford's distinctive European
kinetic design styling and driving quality with outstanding levels of cargo
space, trailer-tow and off-road capability for North America, promising a
vehicle that meets the needs of next-generation compact utility vehicle
customers around the world.
The sleek appearance of the Ford Vertrek concept has been honed
aerodynamically to help support the program target of class-leading fuel
economy and low CO2 emissions and complement the high-tech powertrain
solutions Ford envisions.
Ford preliminary data show that a production vehicle based around the
Vertrek concept would be at least 5 percent more aerodynamically efficient
than current comparable Ford North American and European models, such as
the Escape and Kuga.
Cadillac CTS-V vs Jag XFR - Drag Race
In a recent comparison, Cadillac's all-new 556 horsepower CTS-V sedan
dominated the BMW M5 in a drag race battle. But there's a new competitor in
the super sedan segment - Jaguar's 510 horsepower XFR. Can it take
the crown away from Cadillac's CTS-V?
