6 WRC limited edition, only 2000 units produced.
GC8 chassis and EJ207DW2PR aka EJ207 engine. turbo is IHI VF29. TY754VB1EA transmission and
full chassis code is GC8G4DD. Version VI JDM STi Type RA, originally was
right hand drive (RHD) but was rebuilt to Left hand drive (LHD) so it would
be registrable in my country.
Currently it has thrown rod bearing so I will rebuild the engine after the
new year. Can't wait to drive her again, pretty much the only thing that
makes me happy nowadays. I just can't believe how 30 minute ride in this
car makes you so calm and cures depression.
How much horsepower it has? I don't
know. According to Subaru it has 280 horsepower (280 PS / 276 horsepower to be more
precise) at the crank from factory but many source claim that it actually
had around 300 horsepower and Subaru only
claimed 280 PS due to Gentlemen's agreement (Japanese automakers agreed not
to produced car with power more than 280 PS). Considering that it has some
mods I would estimate for it to have slightly over 300hp at the crank.
All STi Ra version come with short gearing rations from factory (4.444), so
the acceleration is amazing but top speed suffers. Despite that the car
still easily does over 200 km/h (120 mph) with removed limiter which
prevents you from going over 180 km/h.

The third round of the 2014 Red Bull Global Rallycross Championship was
held on a purpose built track outside of RFK Stadium in Washington, DC.
Subaru Rally Team USA drivers, Bucky Lasek and Sverre Isachsen, began the
event brimming with confidence. Nearly two years of development work on the
team's Subaru WRX STI rallycross cars have begun to pay off and the team
has now proven they have the speed to compete at the top. Lasek starts the
weekend at the top of the timesheets, earning the #2 seed. Isachsen
qualifies just .4 seconds behind. But in GRC, you never know whats going to
happen in the final rounds...
On the same weekend in Europe, the STI team from Japan is tackling a
different challenge -- the 24 Hours of N├╝rburgring race in Germany. Coined
the "Green Hell", the 15-mile ribbon of tarmac through the Eifel Forest has
seen some of the most grueling racing known to man. Over 200 cars will take
the start, and only half are expected to finish. The STI team prepares all
year for this challenge, and has brought the 2015 WRX STI here to win.
