G8 Designs Aftermarket Stereo Installation Kit for the Pontiac G8 - Demo Video
HOW DO I ORDER THIS KIT? READ THIS FIRST: The following FAQ answers the most frequently asked questions about the G8 Designs aftermarket stereo setup. This is the best place to start, if you are shopping for a way to replace the stock G8 or Holden stereo... Our FACEBOOK page is the main source of the latest information on our products. You DO NOT need a Facebook account to visit the page, but we do recommend one so you can interact with us, get the latest news and posts on our products, and get our many informative articles, tech tips, and get your questions answered. www.facebook.com/g8designs WHAT WE ARE SELLING: G8 Designs sells the double-din installation kit that allows you to eliminate the very outdated (and problematic) factory (OEM) Blaupunkt stereo in your Pontiac G8 or Holden-based vehicle. Because the AC controls are integrated into the factory stereo, you must have a device to control the AC after the factory stereo is removed. That's why our kit is designed around the Folcik touchscreen AC controller. To make the installation easy, we provide you with detailed, full color visual instructions that show you step by step how to do the install, and illustrate the wiring and connections with full color photos and graphics. DO I GET A STEREO WITH THIS TOO? NOTE: We do NOT sell the stereos, accessories, or other peripherals. There are literally HUNDREDS of stereos and compatible accessories on the market, with prices ranging from $200 to $1500, so you will want to pick the stereo and accessories that fit your needs and budget. We ONLY sell the install kit and the Folcik AC controller, and you add your own stereo and peripheral accessories. We are also adding other G8-oriented products to our lineup, so be sure you LIKE this page, and stay tuned to this page for the latest updates and info. WHAT COMES WITH THE INSTALL KIT? Our kit comes with our custom aluminum laser-cut mounting bracket, our custom plastic fascia, the Folcik touchscreen AC controller, the mounting system for the AC controller, and all of the hardware, wiring harness (labeled for easy connections), and peripheral connectors you will need. HOW HARD IS THIS TO INSTALL? You also get our incredible instruction set in PDF format, which make the kit EASY to install, thanks to lots of full color photos and graphics that take you step by step through the entire install, and which give you lots of technical tips that you'd have to spend hours figuring out otherwise. We've done all the "figuring out" for you. You can easily do this installation in an afternoon with simple hand tools (Phillips screwdriver, cutters, and wire stripper/crimper). WILL THIS RUIN MY CAR'S WIRING? No, our kit is plug and play. You don't have to butcher your original equipment wiring to do the installation. You can easily put your old system back in if you ever decide to sell your car, or to maintain the originality of the car. I HAVE THE BASE MODEL WITH BASIC STEREO. No worries, our AC controller is menu-selectable to work with the basic non-climate controlled AC system as well as the dual climate control version. You can also select Pontiac, Holden, or car silhouette logos for startup, and Fahrenheit or Celsius temp readings with a menu selection. HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST? That's the question we get the most. Read on, and we'll lay it all out for you: All prices in US dollars. Our complete kit with Folcik AC controller is $650 delivered anywhere in the US. Then, simply choose the head unit of your choice, any accessories or peripherals you want to go with it (such as XM tuner, steering wheel control module, parking brake bypass relay, smartphone adapter, GPS module, etc.) and you can "update your G8" with the latest double-din technology and improved sound quality! WHAT ABOUT STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS? We've found that these cars work best with the Axxess ASWC-1 steering wheel control module, available from many US Ebay sellers for under $50. We have a section in our instructions that illustrates the easy setup of this module. See the Axxess website for further details at www.axxessinterfaces.com. HOW MUCH TO SHIP TO AUSTRALIA (or other countries overseas): We ship many of our kits to our Aussie mates down under, and kits to Canada, the Middle East, and the UK! Overseas customers should contact our email address, G8DESIGNSFL@gmail.com, let us know where you are, and we'll get right back to you with full details. Yes, this kit works with ALL Holden-based vehicles all over the world. HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER? Email us identifying your geographic location at G8DESIGNSFL@gmail.com. Stay tuned to your email for a fairly quick response, and we'll get your order started. HOW DO I PAY? We will send you a payment request through PayPal, which is an email with a link to click, then pay securely through their site with any payment method you like. No PayPal account is required. Don't be "stuck with stock"! Let G8 Designs help you update your G8 or Holden!

Pontiac G8 GT LOUD sounds!
Here is a ridiculously loud Pontiac G8 that I was fortunate enough to ride in on the way to today's (July 1, 2012) Caffeine and Octane car show. This car features too many upgrades to list: Ported/polished heads, aftermarket camshaft, Exhaust cutouts, and much more! I mounted my Cybershot DSC-H70 to the bumper and the results were impressive! My apologies for the camera's wrist strap flying around in front of the lens... Enjoy and stay tuned for more of this G8, in addition to plenty of footage from C&O! 2008 Pontiac G8 Review - Kelley Blue Book
FOR MORE CAR VIDEOS & REVIEWS CHECK OUT http://www.kbb.com/kbb/NewsAndReviews/VideoLibrary.aspx When describing the quintessential American sedan, car enthusiasts no-doubt mention V8 engines and rear-wheel drive. So it is surprising that Pontiac, General Motor's supposed performance division, hasn't offered that powertrain combination for years. Classic car fans can now rejoice: the Pontiac G8 is a thoroughly modern car that harkens back to the rear-wheel-drive glory days of American sedans. Having been out of the rear-drive V8 game for a while, Pontiac found inspiration in Australia where high-power sedans have thrived for decades. Essentially a re-badged Australian-market sedan, the G8 delivers a much-needed performance punch for Pontiac, in both V6 and V8 flavors. This is a video review of a Pontiac G8 GT with Dave "DuBob" Richie. He's a former owner of a modified 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, which is one of the nicest Grand Prixs in the country and won 1st place in several club contests. Dave is an active member on ClubGP and G8 Board. We definitely had some fun with this one, so I hope you'll enjoy it. p.s. watch past the credits for some bloopers!
