1965 Pontiac Grand Prix 2dr hardtop
Super clean Southern California car with almost all factory options
available. Power Steering, power brakes, automatic transmission, air
conditioning, power windows, tilt steering wheel and factory wire wheel
covers. Super straight great body with crisp lines and very good paint. The
interior is also super clean from the bucket seats, working vacuum gauge to
the almost perfect original wood inlay and mint original steering wheel.
She runs and drives fantastic with great power from her original big block
389ci engine. Newer brakes and Exhaust, with brand new radial tires. Always a
crowd pleaser and fantastic cruiser. This vehicle is showing 54k miles and
after looking at it, it could very well be original. This is a great
example of the cars we like to purchase. Keep in mind we only have cars in
our inventory that we would have in our own collection. This is just a
great example of a well preserved vehicle.
What a great car to have in a collection especially with pontiac motor
division in non existance the value can only go up.

I thought you might like a look at this nicely restored 1951 Pontiac sedan.
It's still powered by the original flathead straight 8. The paint is
slick, the chrome looks great, and the interior is looking nice as well.
This is a well-preserved car, that is ready to cruise. I hope you find it
interesting, thanks for watching!

Nothing beats the satisfaction of chasing down and pulling old cars from
their resting spots. There is a thrill in the hunt, and a joy in
discovering a car that nobody else knows about. These are the cars that
have been parked for whatever unknown reason ; a blown tranny, discarded in
disgust, set aside for later. Many cars are sentenced to a particular spot
with no release date in mind. They all have a story to tell, and one has to
wonder who fell in love with the vehicle first and plunked down all their
hard earned cash on the beast.
Cracking open the door is like entering a ancient tomb, with the rusty
hinges announcing your arrival. Every old car has it's own unique smell,
some brands even possessing their own odors.
Pop the hood next. Engine bays come in 3 types, complete, empty, and
partially disassembled. A complete bay is the ultimate goal, for that means
there is a small chance that the car might still run. An empty bay puts the
car towards parts-car status, or full swap/update for sure. A half complete
mill is the worst situation possible. One must play detective and figure
out what went wrong and where all the missing parts currently reside.
Pop the trunk, and it's time to go treasure hunting. The trunk can hold
anything from missing parts and nos trim, to possums and many other
shocking items forgotten over time.
The adventures of moving a car that has not moved in decades is immediately
present. Brakes stick, bearings freeze, tires are square and downright
ignorant, and every immobile wreck instantly gains 1 ton over its
still-mobile twin. Might be the 1800 pounds of old concrete in the trunk,
the one the owner conveniently "lost" the keys for. Many times there is
things in the way that were not present when the car was parked 45 years
Naturally, not all these cars go into the garage and come out show queens.
Some get fixed, few get finished, and most get slated for parts service.
The ones that do not meet one persons standards get pawned off on fresh
hunters with less money and more ambition. Maybe the car will help out to
get another twin out of the weeds also and back on the road. But one thing
is for certain, once the derelict wreck is loaded, the standard question
always asked is "Do you know of any more old cars around here?"

1966 GTO drag racing 2011 Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk, OH Mike Green from 1AAuto.com
When he is not filming How To Videos you might find Mike Green behind the
wheel of his '66 GTO drag car. He does most of the work on the car himself
with the help of friends and family. These passes were filmed at the 2011
Pontiac Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk Ohio. The air was
hot and humid when this was filmed so times were off. As of August 2011
best pass is 10.531 @ 126.03 mph.
8.952 @ 147.8
Larry Quinn driving the Nostalgia Super Stock '62 Pontiac BLAST FROM THE
PAST at the Monster 2007 (Gateway). Track conditions were good, air was
crap and the car did a little dance in 2nd gear.
P.S. Sorry I didn't get a better shot of your Mopower, John.
