2012 Chevrolet Sonic Review and 0-60 MPH Drive

( http://www.TFLcar.com ) For 2012 Chevrolet has completely redesigned and even renamed the Chevy Aveo. The small Chevrolet economy car is now the brand new Chevy Sonic. The old Aveo was really a rebadged Korean that is now a bad memory in the minds of many car reviewers. So of course the obvious question is has General Motors come out of the corner swinging with a brand new Chevrolet Sonic that can take on the likes of the very popular Honda Fit, Ford Fiesta, and of course the very similar KIA Rio. Check out this 0 to 60 MPH review of the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic to find out.

2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible Drive & Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible is no sports car. In other words....it doesn't handle like a topless Mustang or Camaro or even Mini Cooper, but that's not why you are buying this car. This is most certainly a cruising machine. And if you keep it on a straight road and tune in The Coffee Shop, or perhaps the Chill channel on the satellite radio...you certainly enjoy the ride. And when they shoehorned Chrysler's 283 horsepower V-6 Pentastar under the hood....you end up with a car that's not only stylish but also fast. In fact...not only is the car fast but the retractable top will stow in 27 seconds (if you opt for the soft top) or 30 seconds (if you opt for the hardtop) according to Chrysler. And that's right you can get this car with either a soft top or for about $2000.00 dollars more a retractable hardtop. So now just try to name a true four passenger convertible (in any prices range) that can be had with either a soft or hard retractable top. By the way: You can also get the Chrysler 200 Convertible with a four cylinder engine paired to a six speed automatic transmission. But I wouldn't recommend it as 174 horsepower is just not enough to motivate a car that weighs over two tons...at least not with any sort of hustle and pep.

2012 Range Rover Evoque Colorado Mountain off-road review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Range Rover Evoque looks like it belongs in downtown London. With concept car styling this baby Range Rover is right at home cruising the street of Peoria or Peking but what about the rutted and muddy off-road trails of the Colorado Mountains. We recently had the chance to see just how well this newest Range Rover Evoque drives when the road turns snowy, muddy and rocky in this Colorado Mountain off-road review

2012 Chevy Volt vs Toyota Camry Hybrid Mashup Review & 0-60 MPH Drive
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Chevrolet Volt and the 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid represent two family cars that have a similar yet completely different way of saving fuel. The Volt is both an electric car and a plug-in hybrid in that it can run on both electricity (about 40 miles) and gas. The Camry is a more traditional hybrid in that cannot go a very long distance on just electricity but it use its electric motor in conjunction with the gas engine to go further on a gallon of gas. So which is the better family car? Check out this mashup review to find out.

2014 Ford Fiesta vs Chevy Sonic Turbo vs the Ike Gauntlet Mashup Review ( Part 1)
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2014 Ford Fiesta and Chevy Sonic turbo are small economy cars that almost directly compete. Of course the difference is that the Fiesta is normally aspirated while the sonic has a small turbo. How does this effect a cars performance when the road gets steep, the altitude get hight and the car is loaded to the rafters with with people? From Dillion, Colorado to the Eisenhower Tunnel U.S. I-70 climbs 8 miles to a maximum elevation of 11,158 feet or 3,401 meters. That's enough elevation and grade to test a small economy car like the 2014 Ford Fiesta and the Chevy Sonic turbo. In Part 1 of another accurate, informative and fun TFLcar mashup review Nathan, Emme, Andre and Roman take on the Ike Gauntlet in the new Chevy Sonic turbo to see how these small cars handle the steep grade and lack of air density in the Mountains of Colorado. 2014 Chevrolet Sonic RS 1.4L Turbo Test Drive Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/chevrolet/sonic/2014/?id=32972 The Chevrolet Sonic should be on your shopping list for a couple of reasons: 1) The car is very cheap with a starting price of $14,170 2) It is one of the few small cars actually built in America 3) The Sonic drives and handles well 4) The car is very safe with 10 airbags On the inside the Sonic is cheeky and playful. The instrument set-up is unique combining both analog and digital gauges. The brushed silver trim and fake suede is nice enough. The driver's compartment is roomy and easy to see the road. The basic Sonic engine is a naturally aspirated 1.8 liter. But this Sonic RS has a 1.4 liter ECOTEC turbocharged 4-cylinder which is peppy and eager. The Sonic puts together some great ingredients resulting in a very satisfying overall experience. This RS model starts at $20k after all is said and done. 2012 Chevrolet Sonic Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/chevrolet/sonic/2012/?id=32972 The 2012 Chevrolet Sonic is the newest venture into the subcompact market from Chevy. The Sonic replaces the old and outdated Aveo with a much better looking and performing package. The 2012 Chevy Sonic comes in 2 different body styles, a 4-door sedan style, and a 5-door hatchback which has some European flavor to it. On the inside the interior is pretty nice and there is ample room for adults. For a subcompact car the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic is a lot of fun to drive. There are 2 different engines but the one to get is the turbocharged 1.4 liter 4-cylinder that produces 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is excellent at 29 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway. The base model Chevy Sonic costs $13,735 and the top of the line 2LZ hatchback costs $18,495. But no matter which Sonic you purchase a few things are for certain, you will be getting a great looking car with wonderful fuel economy. And that is the real value of the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic. 2012 Kia Rio Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/kia/rio/2012/?id=32972 The 2012 Kia Rio is certainly an entry level subcompact car. But the Rio elevates this segment. The features are top of the line, the price is excellent, and the fuel economy is amazing. For the 2012 Model year the Kia Rio comes in 2 different body styles. The regular Kia Rio is a 4-door compact car and the Kia Rio 5 is a 5-door hatchback. The 2012 Kia Rio has a base price of $13,400. Past subcompact cars were ugly econoboxes that no one really wanted to drive. Well Kia has pushed the design envelope with the new Rio which features sharp headlights and an attractive front bumper which makes the car look more expansive then it is. The GDi gamma 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine produces 138 horsepower and 123 lb-ft. of torque. The Rio has great fuel economy with 30 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway. There are tons of features and options that come standard on the Rio but the best part is Hyundai's 100k mile powertrain warranty. The 2012 Kia Rio is a great value at this price point. This can be applied to the Sonic a car that was once a cheap Aveo has now gone upmarket with much technology and a sporty character that couldn't be said with the Aveo. Inside you will find it to be very unique with a fun character on the interior and comfortable seats as well as a futuristic touchscreen. The Aveo comes in a hatchback or a sedan. All in all great car from Chevy, but can it handle the competition from the hot selling Honda Fit and Ford Fiesta. We think so.
