Viper Racing League - 8/29/09 - Texas World Speedway
This is my first race with the Viper Racing League (Viper Days/NARRA) at Texas World Speedway on Saturday 8/29/09. We have a rolling start with a pace car and ran 12 laps for about 30 minutes. I edited this video from the 30 minute race down to 10 minutes so it would fit within the YouTube! time limit. We also had a 26 lap inverted race on Sunday for about 50 minutes but my camera messed up and I only got the first lap and it shut off. Anyway, I came in 3rd place in both races behind the World Challenge competition coupes which are much faster and have better drivers. I was extremely happy to come in 3rd. In this race, I started out in the 3rd row inside and managed to get behind Tom in his white/blue comp coupe. I chased him most of the race just waiting for a mistake. He began losing his tires and I managed to stick my nose in on turn 13. He was gracious and let me by but could have easily kept me from passing. We were pretty even the whole race and it was tons of fun. Thanks, Tom! The next race is Roebling Road in Georgia and then off to Daytona on the Rolex Series course.





Brock Cobra Daytona Coupe - Circuit Le Sarthe - Le Mans Classic - Nadine Geary
One and a half lap of Circuit Le Sarthe, Le Mans at a fairly conservative pace due to changable weather conditions and traffic. The Brock Cobra Daytona Coupe hits 170 MPH/270 KMH on the straights. Driven by Nadine Geary at Le Mans Classic 7th July 2012. Not the best quality video, but you get the idea.....Immense fun, and a fulfilled dream for Nadine driving this car on this iconic circuit.

Hemi Buildup on a '55 Chevy Bel Air! - Roadkill Ep. 29
In Episode 8 of Roadkill we introduced you to the greatest engine swap project ever—a Hemi into a 1955 Chevy Bel Air. Nearly two years later, we finally get Mike Finnegan's Mopar-powered Tri-Five on the road, but not without a few problems along the way. Blown head gaskets, frayed wires, and severe sleep-deprivation are all overcome as Finnegan, Freiburger, and friends push to get this polarizing project car running again in time for an epic road trip. The BlaspHEMI '55 Chevy rides on a Jim Meyer Racing Gasser tube chassis with Viking coilover dampers and Firestone Cheater slicks out back. Up front the car has a tubular straight axle, parallel leaf springs and tires small enough to fit on a VW Bug. The rear axle is a John's Industries 9-inch with 5.43:1 gears. The Hemi began life as a 528ci Mopar crate engine, which Finnegan rebuilt with a 0.030-inch overbore, ported aluminum heads, and a Comp Cams solid roller cam. The mill is topped off with a Hilborn stack injection system with EFI controlled by a FAST EFI ECU. An Aeromotive Stealth fuel tank and pump provides the fuel while MSD provides the spark. The engine is backed by a Tremec Magnum six-speed manual gearbox with an American Powertrain installation kit and a twin-disc clutch. The car was wired with a Speedwires kit and the guys built their own fenderwell headers using parts from Hedman. To save weight, the original steel front clip was swapped out for a lightweight fiberglass tilt front end from Unlimited Products and the windows were replaced with lexan parts from ProGlass. The rollcage is a 10-point arrangement built from chrome-moly steel and TIG welded to the floor and frame. To save a ton of time, High Tech Auto Wraps covered the car in flat black vinyl instead of paint while the last of the parts were installed onto the car. Dodge Viper Lap Record at Nürburgring : 7'12"13 (Motorsport)
Une rumeur annonçait que la Dodge Viper ACR avait battu le record de la Lexus LFA (7'14"64) sur la Nordschleife en 7'12"13. Aujourd'hui, la firme américaine confirme, vidéo à la clé. Pour rappel, la Viper ACR est une véritable voiture de course échappée des circuits avec son V10 de 612ch et 77,3 mk de couple, ses 1 533 kg et surtout ses suspensions et son aileron réglable. A l'occasion de ce record, l'équipe de SRT a très légèrement modifié la sportive utilisée. Le cinquième rapport a été raccourci (0,80 au lieu de 0 74) tandis que l'aileron a été redessiné pour améliorer l'aérodynamique. Le pilote de GT Dominik Farnbacher était aux commandes de la Viper ACR qui a réalisé le record le 14 septembre dernier. Quant à Ralph Gilles, président de SRT et de la division sport auto du groupe Chrysler, il s'est dit extrêmement fier de ce temps. La Viper ACR devient ainsi la quatrième auto la plus rapide sur le Nürburgring, juste derrière l'impressionnante Gumpert Apollo Sport (7'11"57).
