Original scheduled for the 2nd of October, in what ended up being a bizarre end to the AFL season with two Grand Finals played, the Calder Saturday meet was pushed back to Sunday to accomodate. Collingwood fans still jubilant of an impressive victory were amoungst the many competitors for the day, in a field which included Pistol Pete, Steve Athens, Billy 66, Deadli, Easy 8's, Ian Hicks, Michael Braggs and plenty of Fords, Holdens, Nissans, Subaru's and Mitsubishis. Michael Braggs certainly proved to be one of the many highlights for the occasion running his blown alcohol dragster for the first time, yet the day was fill with wall to wall excitment from start to finish. While the weather may have been bitterly cold with racers risking frostbite, the track was kept hot with wall to wall action, and HP Heaven was there to capture it all! From the first run of Easy8s all the way to some unfortunate breaks on the line. There was plenty of horsepower being layed on the track as well with the mph hitting the low 170s. Friday nights come but once a week, and once a fortnight Calder park opens its gates for what has become more than just a test and tune night. And the 16th of April 2010 was not going to dissapoint, with plenty of street cars lining up to prove their worth, and a few comp cars trying to run down a record or two the night was chock full of highlights. Look out for a couple of new Holdens as they did some black top product testing as well.

It was a full house Friday at Calder Park and Hp Heaven was there to capture all the highlights.
While the Boys in blue, from operation drag right were the first to cross the line, the comp cars were having trouble finding them. The EL Falcon could keep it straight, and the Supra made a tremendous error at the lights, but by the end of the night things were looking up and the times were getting low.
With some great head to head action between utes, hatchbacks, sedans some 4WD's and a couple of skylines there was plenty to like.
Sit back and enjoy the action as the boys upstairs bring their A game with another fantastic call.
Calder Park V8s - March 12th
A large variety of V8s from Calder Park test and tune drags. Includes Steve Athans twin turboMustang running a 7.99/184 and Billy's twin turbo big block Mustang pedalling an 8.35 beofre an oil line caused a fire mid run. Frank Marchese's FAIRXW Falcon ran a PB of 9.22 at 147mph. Leanne Braggs' Mazda RX454 ran mid eights.
