Totally customized STEEL 1936 Ford 5 Window Coupe, this is not a fiberglass car! This car was professionally built by Street Seats down in New Port Richey, FL. They are a top level street rod builder who does excellent interior work and they used this car to demonstrate their capabilities. So as you would think, the interior of this street rod is what really sets it apart from the pack and puts it into the next level above you regular street rod. The interior has a completely hand-formed fiberglass shell. The dashboard is made from steel and was custom designed to house the power windshield motor as well as the Dakota Digital gauges. The design then wraps around into the door panels and continues around the rear of the compartment encompassing the entire interior in design. A custom hand-formed console houses a retractable hidden switch panel. This panel contains 14 buttons which control the front and rear windshields, door windows, power hood and deck lid. That's right! This car has a power hood, trunk, and all windows are power as well. People at cruise-ins and shows are totally wowed when this car pulls up and then the hood is opened without the driver ever leaving the cockpit! The headlights, wiper and fan are also hidden in the panel which disappears into the console with a touch of a hidden button beneath the material. Indirect lighting within the console and dash are also hidden and illuminate the interior with just a push of a button on the keypad. Overhead, is an Alpine stereo system housed in yet another custom console. The material is silver pearl ultra-leather with matching suede headliner and inserts. The bucket seats are custom modified to fit the compartment and also wrapped in ultra-leather. Power is supplied by a traditional 350/350 set-up that runs excellent and allows this car cruise anywhere. In the rear you'll find a Ford 9 Inch housing a highway-friendly 3.23 gear ratio. The engine looks great topped off by billet valve covers, a polished R-134 AC Compressor, and a dual element B&M intake. This car has just enough to power to get you into trouble but it really is set-up for cruising and hassle-free usage even in the hottest of temperatures. The entire car, including the drive train, has 8,900 miles on it since being built. With the bright yellow paint and suicide doors this is one tough looking rod. The attention to detail on this machine is amazing and you see few street rods on the market, especially steel ones, that have the neat options this car has. The car is very livable and has comfortable seating to boot. We see a lot of street rods that look awesome but are very impractical and uncomfortable to drive. Once you get in those cars you are ready to get out after about 10 minutes! That's simply not the case with this car.
