FG XR6 Supercharged
Hey guys , here is a quick video of my FG XR6 Series 2 (MKII) supercharged
using the v-2 SQ Supercharger and water
to air Intercooler supplied
by CAPA, currently at 340 rwhp because timing belt has been cut as it was
running lean on the high revs so its limited at 4500 until larger injectors
are put in which are coming soon. therefore a proper run on the Dyno will be done then with the
injectors in and will notify you guys once its done, also has a custom 2.5
inch cat back Exhaust by genie
everything else is stock for the moment. Currently this is the only fg xr6
series 2 supercharged in Australia dont get this mixed up with the fact
that there are several series one fg xr6 supercharged throughout Australia.
Before you comment about why I didn't get a turbo dont waste your time i wanted this to be
unique so i decided to do this so dont bother with asking. It was my
decision to make this car different and to suit the way i drive and how i
wanted the car to be modified. any questions feel free to ask.
Forced Induction - Supercharger vs. Turbo Charger
This video was made to describe in moderate detail the differences between
Superchargers and turbo Chargers, as well as describing the
components, advantages, and disadvantages to each. Complementing the
speaking track is a slideshow of related pictures and videos. I hope this
video helps some of you curious up and coming mechanics to better
understand methods of forced induction. Please comment maturely, and
Australia's Quickest BA XR6 Turbo
Phil Chain's XR6 turbo currently holds
the record with an 8.4 at 166mph, but the boys had some problems getting it
down the track at Jamboree and only (??) managed a couple of 9.1sec runs at
over 160mph. It's a beast of a thing with a massive GT47R turbo. How soon until we see a 7sec pass from an
XR6 turbo is Australia?
BTA Motorsports 1000hp 'Monster' Ford F6 turbo
Just how far can you push the tried and proven Ford straight six? This is
what we try to find out with our project "Monster" F6.
The goal? A 1000hp engine in a street package. The result? 1300hp+ from the
engine with 992.8hp at the rear wheels.
