1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Engine Start
First time starting up the 2333 cc engine (91x84mm) that I installed in my wife's freshly restored 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia convertible. Yes, I know my coil is installed upside-down. The after-market wire harness was installed with too little slack to reach a downward-pointing coil. This is temporary.

Very Original 1960 VW Karmann Ghia for Sale

This unique example has only 20k original miles and it still retains the original factory tires from 1960! The interior is original with the exception of new carpet, and the little Karmann Ghia still sports its original 36 hpr engine. Stepping into this Karmann Ghia is like stepping into a time machine. The ivory knobs and the ornamental chrome trim is straight out of the '50s (and 1960 of course). The "whirr" of the engine paints a smile on anyone's face who is lucky enough to hear it. You can be proud driving this beauty no matter what your destination. The paint is not original but the paprika red and white color scheme is. The floor pans look to be original and they are in good shape. At some point there was some body work done to the panels just before the rear wheels. The trunk is nice and the rear quarter panels look to be original and they are in great shape. As you can see from the photos there is some rust around the headlights and in front of the passenger side rear wheel. But the paint and car look great overall, and these areas could be touched up if desired. 1951 Chevy Pickup 454 Big Block "SOLD" Drager's International Classic Sales 206-533-9600
This is a frame off restoration. Now has 153 miles on restoration and I have driven over 100 miles Big block 454 Chevy engine that is rebuilt. turbo 400 transmission. Mustang II front suspension. 11" power disc brakes on the front. Power steering. Tilt steering column. Camero rear end. The frame is boxed in the front. It really looks good. Nice two-tone paint. Chrome grill. Chrome front bumper. Lowered in the front. The wood bed looks good but not showy. Late-model painted rear bumper that gives it a nice look. I think you'll like the interior. I drove this pickup over and back from Old School Garage and it's a great driver. Has highway gearing which works well with this big block, otherwise you would be spinning the tires all the time. Joe found the radiator had problems so he is installing a brand-new 4 core aluminum radiator with a electric cooling fan. We had the seat reupholstered and matching door panels, it looks great. I did not like the gas pedal so Joe found a better solution. The carpets were cut up so we installed new carpeting. This is a good-looking truck and everyone gives you the thumbs up.
