This 1967 Chevrolet Nova is a stare producing machine that wraps a custom
interior and a modern drivetrain in one of the straightest and most
impressive bodies in our RK Motors Charlotte showroom. This Nova is a take
no prisoners build that benefitted from a full frame up build in 2008. Once
the exceptionally straight body panels were properly aligned and prepped,
the car was covered in Nissan code CV0 Sand Dune basecoat/clearcoat paint.
Keeping the car firmly planted to the pavement is a great looking set of 17
inch Billet Specialties Fast Lane polished aluminum wheels with 225/45
front and 245/45 rear Bridgestone Potenza G009s. The smoothed engine bay
houses a Generation II LT1 Corvette motor utilizes a cast iron block,
aluminum heads, 4 bolt mains, batch-fire fuel injection and speed density
fuel management to provide an even 300 horsepower and an even
better 340 lb./ft. of torque. Underneath the car you'll find: a 4L60E
4-speed automatic transmission, a GM 10 bolt posi-traction rear end that
houses unbreakable 3.73 Richmond gears, front end braces, a modified sub
frame, tubular upper and lower control arms, GM power disc brakes, rear
mono leaf springs, rear QA1 gas shocks and a true dual Exhaust system that is complete with an H-pipe,
turbo mufflers and turn downs located
just behind the rear wheels. Inside this Nova you'll find a completely
custom Paul Atkins leather upholstery that includes maroon leather seats, a
custom body matched dash, Classic Instruments gauges, a direct fit AM/FM
radio, a Vintage Air air conditioning system, a custom console, a Lokar
shifter, custom door panels and a body matched tilt steering column that

We are pleased to sell the spectacular, no expense spared restoration of a
rust free California car. This is a numbers matching, fully restored Nova
SS in the original colors and configuration but with the finest performance
and convenience upgrades money can buy, such as: Hot Rod air conditioning,
Heidt's front end, power front disc brakes, tilt wheel, CD stereo, etc.
This is a nearly 100 point restoration as you can see by the detailed
photos. This is absolutely a no-excuses motorcar.
A restoration to this level would normally cost in excess of $100,000. The
restoration shop was MB Services in Murrieta, CA. The restorers there are
professionals we have used on our personal cars over the years, including
preparation of several cars we have shown at the Pebble Beach Concours.
The restoration was completed a few years ago and it only has a few hundred
miles since completion; basically to take it to a couple local shows. It
drives beautifully and is fully sorted. The paint has seven coats of
primer, all carefully and beautifully wet sanded for a fabulous base for
the paint. The interior is an exact reproduction of the original interior
that was on the car before restoration. And it looks stunning!!
This car has the original 327 cu in V8 that has been upgraded to
approximately 360 hp. The transmission has been upgraded to a turbo 400 and the wheels are the classic American
Racing wheels- a great choice for this Nova SS. There is not a nut or bolt
that has not been restored or replaced on this car.
The 1967 Chevy 327 Nova SS's are pretty rare and almost never bought up to
this level of restoration. If you are looking for a top quality, concours
restoration of a fully documented car, this may be your car.

1927 Ford: Double-Trouble -- /BIG MUSCLE

In the world of hot-rodding there are few cars that are going to leave as
big an impression as this - the 1927 Ford Model T custom simply known as
"Double-Trouble". It rides on a custom-built tube chassis that's fabricated
from 1.5-inch tube. Is powered by two 4.6-liter modular V8s from Ford with
four, count 'em, FOUR Superchargers for
an approximate power output of around 1,200 hp. It also utilizes the
rear-end (inboard disc brakes and all) from an early Jaguar. It's a rolling
a Hot Wheels car and a masterpiece of engineering that is sure to make all
your naughty bits tingle.

Sleepers are some of our favorite cars here at RK Motors Charlotte because
they represent ingenuity and craftsmanship designed to put big horsepower in an anonymous
package. For your consideration, we submit this very clean 1966 Chevy Nova
SS hardtop in period-correct turquoise paint, which is powered by a blown
L82 small block under the hood. Is it fast? What do you think?
Actually, the color is code FF Marina Blue, and it's exactly the last color
that you'd expect to eat your lunch at the stop light grand prix. Whose
grandmother didn't have a car that looked just like this? That's the
secret, of course, and your eyes glance over this car but don't linger,
which is just how the sleeper likes it. The handsome lines of the Nova were
typical '60s conservative, and just because they've become popular doesn't
mean they're any more noticeable today than they were forty-five years ago.
Panel gaps are good, but not too good, and the finish is nice, but not too
nice. There's much more to keeping a low profile than factory colors and a
nondescript body style.
The big investment was made on this car is all under the skin. The engine
is a 350 cubic inch L82 small block with four-bolt mains for durability and
a set of reworked aluminum heads to save weight. The dominant feature under
the hood, however, is the massive Vortech Supercharger perched up high and force-feeding the
engine up to 5 pounds of Boost.
Combined with 8.5:1 compression, it makes for a ferocious street piece
that's quick under all circumstances. You'll find yourself riding a wave of
supercharged torque that feels endless, and it hurls the lightweight car
forward like a catapult on the USS Nimitz. The engine bay is clean and tidy
like the rest of the car, with a minimum of flash. Sure, there are some
cool black valve covers with red Chevrolet emblems, and some aircraft
quality lines feeding the fuel system, but otherwise the investment is all
in the hardware, making this one quick, nasty little Nova.
This is also an original 4-speed car, and it still carries a freshly
rebuilt Muncie M20 behind the engine. In back, it has been upgraded with a
bulletproof 12-bolt full of 4.10 gears on a Posi limited slip, which surely
deserve some of the credit for this car's astounding acceleration. The
chassis is extremely clean, and the work is only two years old, so there
are few signs of road use since it was completed. The front suspension
components have been powder coated for long-term durability and the entire
fuel system has been rebuilt from front to back, including a return line to
accommodate the Supercharger's varying
fuel needs. Up front there are disc brakes to ensure that it stops as well
as it goes, and it rolls on a set of handsome Rally wheels. Finishing off
the sleeper look are a set of redline radials which look vintage but grip
like modern tires, giving you another advantage.
According to the cowl tag, this was also an original bucket seat car, and
it has been fully restored in correct code 737 bright blue. Stock condition
means no raised eyebrows from competitors, but it also means this car is
nicely finished with no questionable modifications. In fact, the only
changes to the interior are a set of auxiliary gauges hanging under the
dash, including one for keeping an eye on the Supercharger's Boost. The seat covers, door panels,
headliner, and dash pad are all new and look fantastic in the Marina Blue
coupe. There's also a factory-issued center console housing the shifter for
the 4-speed manual underneath, and the original AM radio with rear speaker
remains in the dash.
How cool is it to have a restored Nova SS packing a big horsepower supercharged
engine that remains completely invisible most of the time? The workmanship
throughout this car is excellent, and you can show it with pride just about
anywhere. Nova fans will appreciate its basic goodness, but you'll have to
decide each time you show it whether to give away its secrets. If that's
