Maggie's First Drive in Thirty Years
My 1967 Mercury Cougar "Maggie the Merc." being driven for the first time since she was parked thirty years ago. Once abandoned and left for dead, in this video she shows that she is not ready to die just yet, but is ready to be on the road with her young new owner (me) and cruise once again the asphalt she has not felt in years.

1967 MERCURY COUGAR XR7 FOR SALE AT HOT ROD CITY!!
We sold another nice Cougar recently, that one was a resto-mod and we got $25K for it.. but here is a 1967 Mercury Cougar in fantastic Original Style condition.. with very nice green mist paint with black vinyl top, wire wheel covers and a powerful 289 OHV motor with brand new 4 barrel carburator. The AC blows cold and the interior is also in wonderful near new condition..the headliner just needs to be tucked in a little in the back.. and there is just a little surface rust on the rear end and traction bars, but that is something that can be wire-brushed and painted black and will look great. The owner is a long time casino dealer here in Vegas and biz is down, so his precious toy has to go to good home. Really nice cougars are hard to find and so cool to stand out with something different from the run of the mill Mustangs or Camaros right ? More info and video of the car coming soon ! 134523 / 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/orctggo When you take a close look at examples like this 1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 it's hard to understand why the Cougar didn't share the limelight with other pony cars like the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger. This Cougar features incredible styling, a legendary drivetrain, and is heavily optioned. It all starts with the body that sits in a fresh coat of the factory-correct Dark Aqua Metallic paint. Combine that shade of blue with the white touches throughout and you have a stunning ride. According to the Marti Report that is included in the sale, this is 1 of only 46 XR-7's with this paint and trim combination. The beneficiary of a complete nut and bolt restoration, today this Cougar sits as an amazing testament to how incredible these cars were when they rolled off the showroom floor. Pull the hood pins on this ride and you will reveal one of the nicest engine bays we have ever seen. Stuffed into the engine compartment is the original 428 cubic inch Cobra Jet that was rated in 1969 to make 335 horsepower. According to the deluxe Marti report, this engine/transmission combination was only built into 96 XR-7's in 1969. From the transmission the power travels down the driveshaft to a 9" that houses the Traction Lok rear axle. Open the doors to the XR-7 and you'll be greeted by a vibrant white interior that accents the dark aqua blue exterior quite nicely. The FKA coded interior meant white bucket seats with an aqua console, carpet, dash, and steering column. The interior looks just as good if not better than the day it rolled off the showroom floor. To the left of the driver are the power window controls, while in front is the dash that features a gas, speedometer, RPM, oil pressure, and water temperature gauge. Inside and out, this Cougar impresses. Throughout the entire car it seamlessly blends power and performance with luxury and comfort. 1 of only 96 with this driveline combination, this is a truly unique factory car. Don't miss your chance to own this incredible 1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7. Call, click or visit http://RKMotorsCharlotte.com today!

Wheel Lip Mouldings On A Budget - 1967-1968 Mercury Cougar
For Cougars, trim pieces can be very expensive. The wheel lip mouldings are not reproduced for 67-68 Cougars, so your only options are to have your originals restored, which is very costly (over $400 for a set of 4) or find NOS trim, which is also very expensive and they are almost impossible to find. The good news is, there is another option! We've found that the reproduction 1971-73 Mustang wheel lip mouldings can be easily modified to fit a 67-68 Cougar. While the fit isn't perfect and the profile is a little different, these mouldings only cost about $120 for 4 and look great once installed. Or, if you send us your original core trim, we'll give you these for free. Using two right rears and two left rears, the only modifications you need to do are 1) drill new holes in your wheel arch and 2) trim the rear mouldings to fit. Watch the video and you'll see it's really quite easy, and the result looks great considering the low cost. Check out the mouldings on our website here: http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/stanglips.html Don't forget to subscribe!
