Dieser Maserati Merak 3,0 ist vollständig original erhalten und weist unter 40.000 km Laufleistung auf. Das Fahrzeug aus der ersten Bauserie ist hervorragend erhalten und wurde technisch umfangreich überholt. Der Maserati Motor wurde komplett gemacht. Innen ist das Auto original und sehr gut erhalten. Es verfügt noch über zahlreichen Gleichteile zum spekatkulären Citroen SM. Das Auto fährt sich, wenn der aus unerfindlichen Gründen demontierte Fahrersitz wieder festgeschraubt ist, hervorragend. 1975 Maserati Bora - 15 minute drive
This is footage edited from my last drive of the 2012 season in Maserati Bora, #932 on December 20, 2012. After having been off the road for 22 years, this 1975 Bora was given initial servicing by Dave Burnham Citroen to get it roadworthy (Refer to previous Test drive and 7 minute drive uploads). Problems that emerged were analyzed, scheduled, and addressed by myself or Dave Burnham Citroen in an efficient manner, which was instrumental in enabling me to get 600 miles of "shakedown" drives in her during the 8 weeks since she was brought to roadworthiness. The problems are becoming fewer as the miles are added on and problems dealt with. In short, this Bora is getting sorted out nicely. There is still an intermittent fuel starvation problem, maybe a faulty pressure regulator at the fuel filter. And I'm still improving on the shift mechanism for smoother operation, which should improve my shifting. I'm also getting used to the shift points. This is only my second time driving Kelley Station Road, performance on that road will improve as I get more familiar. The transmission gear ratios are spaced farther apart than I'm used to, but the engine has such good low-end torque it's hard to really go wrong. I'm glad to have squeezed in so much time behind the wheel getting to know this wonderful driving machine created by some of Italy's finest automotive engineers and designers. The Citroen hydraulics that scare away some potential owners, I find to be a non-issue. It's not inexpensive, but experts and resources are out there. It's not the maintanance mightmare some owners or journalists make it out to be - The Bora proves to be a reliable and great driving car!
