POV drive Subaru Impreza WRX STi RA Racing. Point Of View video driving the 2000 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Type RA Version 6 WRC limited edition, only 2000 units produced. GC8 chassis and EJ207DW2PR aka EJ207 engine. turbo is IHI VF29. TY754VB1EA transmission and full chassis code is GC8G4DD. Version VI JDM STi Type RA, originally was right hand drive (RHD) but was rebuilt to Left hand drive (LHD) so it would be registrable in my country. Currently it has thrown rod bearing so I will rebuild the engine after the new year. Can't wait to drive her again, pretty much the only thing that makes me happy nowadays. I just can't believe how 30 minute ride in this car makes you so calm and cures depression. How much horsepower it has? I don't know. According to Subaru it has 280 horsepower (280 PS / 276 horsepower to be more precise) at the crank from factory but many source claim that it actually had around 300 horsepower and Subaru only claimed 280 PS due to Gentlemen's agreement (Japanese automakers agreed not to produced car with power more than 280 PS). Considering that it has some mods I would estimate for it to have slightly over 300hp at the crank. All STi Ra version come with short gearing rations from factory (4.444), so the acceleration is amazing but top speed suffers. Despite that the car still easily does over 200 km/h (120 mph) with removed limiter which prevents you from going over 180 km/h.

Subaru introduced the all-new 2015 WRX STI at the 2014 North American International Auto Show as the most advanced version of its iconic performance flagship model. Powered by a 305-horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged BOXER engine, the 2015 Impreza WRX STI debuts a new four-door wide-body design, built on a stiffer chassis for even greater handling agility and precision. The WRX STI provides a rally-bred drivetrain and all-wheel drive handling that is unique to this model. Handling is enhanced with a stiffer chassis, firmer springs and faster steering (13.0:1 ratio). The new 2015 WRX STI Impreza is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged/intercooled 4-cylinder BOXER engine that employs the Dual Active Valve Control System (Dual AVCS). The engine, which is exclusive to the STI model, produces 305 horsepower (SAE) at 6,000 rpm and 290 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The WRX STI engine is teamed exclusively with a specially reinforced 6-speed manual transmission, which includes an STI short-throw shifter in the Launch Edition model. The Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-DRIVE) powertrain management system allows the driver to tailor the car's driving characteristics by choosing from among three selectable modes -- "Intelligent," "Sport" and "Sport Sharp" -- using a rotary dial on the center console. SI-DRIVE alters vehicle performance characteristics by regulating the engine control module and by fine-tuning the electronic throttle control system. The 2015 WRX STI is exclusively equipped with the Multi-Mode Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) version of Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. This system uses planetary-type center differential gears with a nominal 41:59 torque split.
