Ford Fairlane 500 (1964) - 1000km Nordschleife - Roland Asch
You'd think a racing Lotus Elan would be the perfect car on a wet Nordschleife? Wrong. Have a look at how quickly ex-DTM driver Roland Asch, in the Team Classic Driver Ford Fairlane 500, passes the little car The in-car video is from the recent ADAC 1000km Classic meeting at the world-famous Nordschleife circuit at the Nürburgring. The ex-works (Mercedes and Opel) DTM driver was guesting in 'Fred and Barney's 1964 Fairlane. In the video you can see him wrestling with the 500+bhp saloon, yet seeming to effortlessly pass much faster cars. He's overtaken by a 1970s Porsche Carrera RS at one point, but steadily reels him in... I won't spoil the ending. Turn the sound up L O U D, and enjoy watching a masterclass of tin-top driving in difficult conditions on the finest circuit in the world.

1965 Ford Fairlane 500 289 2-door 3-spd Start Up, Exhaust, In Depth Review, and Test Drive
Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! YouTube's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth look at my 1965 Ford Fairlane 500 289. This particular model is known as the 2 door sedan due to the tall roofline and b-pillar, also known as a post car. I purchased this car in February 2011 with the dream of being able to fix up a car, restore it, and bring back to the original factory look. I'm a huge fan of classic cars and always have been. My grandfather "papa" instilled this in me a long time ago, as did my dad when he restored papa's '48 ford 2 door sedan back when I was little. This car is about 90% original and numbers matching with the original 289 cubic inch V8 (4.7L) and the original 3 speed manual on the column. It has an custom dual Exhaust (not sure what kind as it was already on the car when I bought it), not to mention original wheels, chrome, door panels, headliner, etc. I bought many items for this car because I wanted to "option it out" since it was a more "basic" fairlane 500. I will explain EVERY LITTLE detail about the car that you were curious about and probably more than you cared to know hahaha. I basically wanted to make this car look as it did from rolling out of the showroom, I collected original keys, documentation, brochures, an owner's manual and much more! I DO have the original video of this car when I first got it, before I did ANYTHING to it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SIbQCRt7Qw This video has been more than a year in the making and has taken a couple months to edit and get everything together, a ton of love and pride went into it! I hope everyone enjoys!!!! During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and Exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth reviews/tour of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of YouTube! DC SHOES: Ken Block's Gymkhana THREE, Part 2; Ultimate Playground; l'Autodrome, France
Shot just south of Paris, France in Linas at l'Autodrome de Linas --Montlhéry, this 1.58 mile oval track, built in 1924, features banks as steep as 51 degrees, which is more than double the standard incline of most NASCAR ovals. Chosen by Ken for this specific reason, the ramp-like banking proved to be a unique and exciting challenge. The driving physics for the stunts performed were totally unknown until Ken attempted the maneuvers during filming. For more information check us out at http://www.dcshoes.com
