Jet Car: almost 300 Miles Per Hour!
DtRockstar1 records a heart pounding jet dragster that reaches a speed of 296 miles per hour, or 476 kilometers per hour! The flames coming out the back were absolutely spectacular. Martin Stamatis 4.577 329.10 mph (529.63 kmh) drag race
Western Australian Martin Stamatis became the fastest Australian drag racer at the recent Sydney Summernationals on Saturday February 16 when he blasted his Fastlane Software Jim Read Racing top fuel dragster to a top speed of 329.10 mph (529.63 kmh) down the WSID quarter mile. The fastest speed recorded by an Australian on Aussie soil was previously held by his team mate, Phil Read who ran 329.02 mph (529.51 kmh) at the 2006 Boxing Day International Top Fuel Challenge. Although the margin may be minimal to some, for Stamatis the speed was a great personal achievement for him and his hard working team, and the 4.577 second ET from the run is also now only just behind Phil Read's personal best of time 4.571 seconds, leaving the entire Read team really pumped. Stamatis and his team then went on to win the meeting, and are now looking forward to the next top fuel round due to be held in Sydney on May 2 and 3.

DtRockstar1 compiles a heart pounding montage of top fuel dragsters and funny cars doing burnouts and flying by at Summit Dragway in Norwalk, Ohio. These cars don't use gasoline (or petrol, depending on where you're from. They use Nitro methane, a highly explosive fuel that gives these cars 8,000 horsepower (1,000 hp per cylinder!) They can reach speeds of well over 300 mph (482 kph) in less than 4 seconds!! They make the earth shake, so much so that my vision was shaking when they took off. An absolutely incredible experience! Mission 2009, I just couldn't help myself.... I abandoned Tim and Sharon at the pits and ran to catch this 'stang during this exhibition run. It was the second time it ran and my nose and eyes were crying both times... sorry 'bout the shake... the track guys told me the tripod had to go "in case something bad happens...." "I love the smell of nitro at the track in the afternoon..."

spencer Massey, driver of the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco dragster; Brandon Bernstein, driver of the Budweiser/Lucas Oil dragster; Antron Brown, driver of the Matco Tools dragster; and Morgan Lucas, driver of the Geico Powersports/Lucas Oil dragster. I was one of the lucky few who got one of the best filming and none crowded spots at the strip. I filmed it in the suites. It was very crazy and I cant wait till they do it again next year! The ground shook like crazy and it was very loud. All cars made it down the track fairly fast. Thanks Burton for such a spectacular expedition race.

Everyone swoons at the Bugatti Veyron's paltry performance !?However, this is how it is done. 0-110 in 1 second ! 0-330 in 4.5 seconds ! The nitro-methane super-charged V8 engine's 8000 horse-power nearly rips the tubular frame apart, and sometimes does, at full speed !

The Power of Top Fuel Dragsters
I took this shoot at Tierp Arena the 11th June 2011 during a TF Dragster qualification round, this particular round is between Risto Poutianien and Anita Mäkela. First i show the dragsters on their way to stageing line then i place my Casio EX-F1 on the edge of the bench aiming on my water bottle and after the earthquake i show the scoreboard.. enjoy :)
