1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour
In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII
LSC. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of
this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique
styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details
of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough
tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall
appreciation of the vehicle.
Lincoln mark Viii top speed
Mark Viii, chipped, intake, no cats, glasspacks, ported polished heads,
interior fully gutted.
And catalytic converters are just some liberal bullshit. Thanks for viewing
Lincoln Mark Viii
Problem with my heater not working. A/C is great, it's known as the blend
door actuator is broken. I noticed on a few videos the same piece seems to
be broken. This is an easier way to fix the problem.
Lincoln Heater Core Replacement
This video is not meant to be a professional instruction on how to do this
work!!! I wish I could do one!!! Overall, I am just showing you what's
involved to hopefully eliminate some fear on a DIY job. Dealer time to do
this repair is hefty because the dash has to be pulled back. This edit
note above was written August 2012--8 months after the work and all's well.
The best part is that I no longer inhale subtle antifreeze odor.
Removing 1989 Lincoln Towncar Heater Core. Time spent was considerably
more than the book time of 6+ hours. Core cost $28. Add $2 for
antifreeze. I needed no additional tools than what I had. If your
windshield fogs and you smell antifreeze, chance is good that your heater
core is leaking. The Lincoln core is located inside a plenum box and
chance of seeing leakage is nil. The result was decent. I have plenty of
hot fresh air (seemingly with more volume). On the downside, I believe the
main plenum door does not close fully which allows air movement on the dash
vents level--but all positions still work well. Not mentioned--you must
push back into the engine compartment-- a grommet with 3 vacuum lines (one
is green) and be sure to reposition that before you reinstall the plenum.
Also a dash brace located on the drivers side of the radio must be
released--one bolt. There is a vacuum line block connector that must be
disconnected near the glovebox. Look for this before pulling out the
plenum. I do not mention that. Follow slender black vac lines to access
it. The plenum must be pulled back --moved right and rotated down--pipes
onto carpet to remove. It will be upside down when you get it to the
floor. Be sure to plug the core pipes. About 2 cups of fluid will come
out of the removed core. It is a pain to raise this core up under the dash
to permit installation. You must be able to control the loose dash as
well. Be sure not to abuse the dash on lowering it and or moving it. Be
prepared to support it when the bolts are removed. There are 2 lower bolts
on the front side near the door frames in addition to the windshield
screws. Disclaimer--Sorry for poor video; audio and/or descriptions.
Note---this job requires (IMO)---space; time and a comfortable environment.
I wouldn't do this outdoors in the winter nor if the job had to be done
the same day.1989 Lincoln Towncar Heater Core removal. This movie shows
most of the steps to enable you to remove a heater core. Labor books show
this as a plus 6 hour job in a shop, but my time was considerably more.
Cost of the heater core was $28. The most important tool is a mini ratchet
screwdriver capable of reaching the 6 dash screws close to the windshield.
There is a dash bracing arm which must be released (not in video)--a bolt
on the drivers side area of the radio. It is an obvious item.
DISCLAIMER--Sorry for poor video; audeo and/or wrong descriptions. Notes
were added to clarify or point out missed items.
Lincoln Mark VIII Test Drive
I should have tightened the camera to the tripod better as its rattling and
very annoying. Somewhere from the camera, editing to youtube the 1080p
widescreen was ruined so ill redo asap.
This is a 93 lincoln mark 8 with 4.6 dohc, stock Exhaust. I opened up the intake tube and
mcguivered a cold air intake. It still has snow tires on so there a little
noisy, they are 215 60r16s so first gear only goes to 95kph; with 225's it
goes to 102kmh. All of the accelerations are a roll into the full
acceleration, i dont want to wear the winters too much.
I did the hid conversion as you can see in the first 15 seconds of the
movie, they are morimoto mini h1's. I had to make a thermoforming machine
to create the clear lenses as the originals were fluted.
It has coil over suspension instead of the air ride, no big difference
really. Im going to redo the suspension in summer so im not being careful
in the backroads. It currently has 215000km on the body but only 50,000km
on engine and transmission.

Abes Lincoln - 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC 32 Valve DOHC 4.6 V8 Hot Rod Luxury
In honor of President Lincoln's birthday, February 12th, I thought I'd post
this video of his namesake, the Lincoln Mark VIII. When Henry Leland
started Lincoln Motor Company in 1917, he named it after our famous
President. This Lincoln has the monochromatic trim all the way around, an
elegant leather interior, and a 32 Valve DOHC 4.6 V8 under the hood. These
cars really do offer luxury and performance in one complete package.
Perhaps it would be the choice of our beloved President, if he were still
alive today. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for watching!

1995 Lincoln Mark VIII Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Review
Hey everyone, I just wanted to say thanks for bearing with me and the lack
of uploading lately. I have a ton of videos to upload including vintage,
exotics, new models, and some unique things to come. I have recently moved

packing, unpacking, and dealing with all of this for a while. Now I'm
finally able to slowly start getting back into the groove of things. I
will also begin working on a new update video fairly soon to let you all
know what has been happening lately. Thanks a bunch and enjoy the future
vids to come!!!
