2008 Dodge Charger vs 2005 Nissan 350z
2006–2008 R/T 5.7 L Hemi EZB V8 340 hp (254 kW) 390 lb·ft (529 N·m) R/T with Road/Track Performance Group 350 hp (261 kW) Both the SXT and R/T models were also available as AWD (All Wheel Drive) starting in 2007. The All-Wheel Drive system is derived from the Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC technology. From 2007 to 2008, the AWD system is engaged all the time, routing approximately 60% of the power to the rear wheels and 40% of the power to the front wheels. The 2009 Charger AWD utilized the Torque-on-Demand system manufactured by Borg Warner which disconnects the front axles until extra traction is needed. This results in a slight Boost in fuel economy while retaining the same maximum power split to the front wheels. After three years of production, an update for 2009 models was made. This included moving the decklid's "CHARGER" badge from the left to the right, making way for "DODGE" at the left. Tail lamps were also revised. The 2006 Charger Daytona R/T debuted at the Chicago Auto Show. Featured with a 5-speed Automatic (Tiptronic) Transmission. It featured a high output 350 hp (261 kW) version of the 5.7 L (345 cu in) Hemi as well as an updated suspension and tires. Visual additions included a special front fascia with a chin spoiler and a black rear spoiler. In a retro touch, the Daytona R/T featured black "Hemi" decals on the hood and rear fender and retro high impact colors. In 2007, larger 20-inch chrome-clad wheels were introduced. In 2008, a revised stripe package was adopted. In 2009, horsepower was increased to 372 hp (277 kW) by the addition of Variable Camshaft Timing. NISSAN 350Z In 2005 Nissan launched a 35th Anniversary edition, with a revised exterior and interior (see Special Editions below). 35th Anniversary 6-speed manual models and Track models were a mid-year introduction, and included the VQ35DE 300HP/260TQ Rev-up engine. Automatic transmission-equipped 35th Anniversary edition models continued with the original VQ35DE with 287HP/274TQ.[clarification needed] For the 2006 model year, the 350Z received a number of notable changes for its mid-cycle facelift. The VQ35DE 300HP/260TQ Rev-up engine that was introduced mid-year 2005 with 6-speed manual was offered for every trim now. The VQ35DE with 287HP/274TQ was offered with the 5-speed automatic. New features included bi-xenon projectors, a revised front fascia, new LED rear lights, and changes to the interior trim. Touring and Grand Touring models have radio-steering controls standard, MP3 CD compatibility, and Satellite Radio became an available option. For the 2007 model year, the 350Z was again moderately revised. The VQ35DE V6 was replaced with a new VQ35HR V6. It produced 306 hp (228 kW) at 6800 rpm with 268 ft·lbf (363 N·m) at 4800 rpm using the revised SAE certified power benchmark. The hood was redesigned featuring a bulge reminiscent of the original 240Z in order to accommodate the revised twin-throttle design of the new VQ35HR V6 engine. In the US, trim levels were narrowed down to 350Z (base), Enthusiast, Touring, and Grand Touring, while in Europe the same trim levels remained. Bluetooth was added for the 2007 model year. 2006- And prior VQ35DE 3.5 L (210 cu in) V6 287 - 300 hp (224 kW; 304 PS) at 6,400 rpm 260 lb·ft (353 N·m) at 4,800 rpm 2007+ And newer VQ35HR 3.5 L (210 cu in) V6 306 hp (228 kW; 310 PS) at 6,800 rpm 268 lb·ft (363 N·m) at 4,800 rpm The Strip is a Drag Strip at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, NV- 3500+ D/A Temperature 95 Degrees+ Fahrenheit

2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat: The Most Powerful Sedan In The World! - Ignition Ep. 122
On this episode of Ignition, presented by Tire Rack, Carlos Lago tests the most powerful sedan money can buy: The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. Much like the Challenger Hellcat, this Charger packs an astonishing 707 hp from its supercharged 6.2-liter V-8. It is as absurd as it is functional, thanks to its two additional doors and comfortable backseat. But to find out if this sedan can do more than leave two long stripes of burnt tire for miles, we’ll need to run it through our standard set of tests, including a Hot Lap with Randy Pobst. Does the Charger Hellcat offer the same magic that we loved in the Challenger? Find out on this episode of Ignition! @CarlosLago Ignition appears every other Monday on the Motor Trend youtube channel. http://www.youtube.com/motortrend Subscribe now to make sure you're in on all the action! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsAegdhiYLEoaFGuJFVrqFQ?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook - http://facebook.com/motortrendmag & https://www.facebook.com/mt.ignition Twitter - http://twitter.com/motortrend & https://twitter.com/mt_ignition Google+ - https://plus.google.com/+motortrend/posts Instagram - @mt_ignition & @CarlosLago Website - http://www.motortrend.com
