The second generation of the BMW 1 Series hatchback is packed with more gadgetry than ever, including new, super-efficient petrol and diesel engines, and lots of equipment you would expect to see on larger luxury cars. There's greater scope for personalisation (a bit like the MINI) too.

New Mercedes A-Class review - CarBuyer
Read the full review here: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/mercedes/a_class/hatchback/review
Hi. I know lots of you have asked for a review of the new Mercedes A-Class so we thought we'd do a special extended video - it's over nine minutes! Hope you like it. We will return to the usual length videos for our next review.
Until now, Mercedes hasn't offered a rival to premium hatchbacks like the BMW 1 Series, Audi A3 or VW Golf. The handsome new A-Class changes that, aiming to attract younger buyers to the brand. Featuring a much lower roofline and detailed creases on its side, the car looks much sportier. It's available with a range of engines, including a diesel that emits less than 100g/km -- the first Mercedes to do so. A hot 208bhp 2.0-litre turbo A250 is also planned. Prices are competitive with the car's A3 and 1 Series rivals.
Audi A3 review - CarBuyer
Full Review at: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/audi/a3/audi-a3/review
The Audi A3 is available in three and five-door bodystyles and is one of the best premium hatchbacks on the market. Thanks to its smart, understated design and superior build quality, it's desirable and hangs onto its value exceptionally well. A wide choice of engines is offered, plus manual, automatic and semi-automatic gearboxes - all of which are tough and reliable. A recent 2008 restyle made it look even sharper.
The premium badge and smart styling are a big part of the A3's appeal. It's also good to drive, but while it's refined and well built its chassis lacks the sparkle of mainstream rivals like the Ford Focus. The A3's diesel engines offer great fuel economy and tend to be worth more second-hand.
The five-door A3 Sportback builds on the appeal of the three-door hatchback. The only difference is a redesigned rear, that creates an extra 20 litres of boot space. You still get the same safe and predictable driving experience and a large choice of engines. The model is best suited to young families.

Ferrari FF review - CarBuyer
To celebrate CarBuyer's two years on YouTube, I thought I'd have a break from the superminis and give you a review of something really exciting. Hope you enjoy watching the review as much as I had filming it - Mat;-)
Full reviewt: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/ferrari/ff/coupe/review
The FF is a radical departure for Ferrari, as it's the first four-wheel-drive car that the Italian manufacturer has ever produced. It's powered by a 6.3-litre V12 engine and is capable of speeds over 200mph. The distinctive bodywork was designed by Pininfarina, and the FF offers levels of comfort and space which have never previously been seen in a Ferrari.
BMW 1 Series 2004 - 2011 review - CarBuyer
Full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/bmw/series-1/hatchback/review
Launched to prove that BMW could build a car to compete with the Volkswagen Golf, the 1 Series is a car with styling that you'll either love or hate. It's quite cramped in the rear and the boot is smaller than most rivals, but cabin quality is good, the driving position excellent and the range of engines is the very best available. It's the only rear-wheel-drive compact hatchback available, which means it has more focus on driving fun than its rivals. Diesel versions are particularly impressive, as they are quick and economical.

BMW 3 Series review - CarBuyer
Full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/bmw/series-3/saloon/review
The new BMW 3 Series has a lot to live up to, as its predecessor has been the class leader in the compact executive sector since making its debut in 2005. But the old car wasn't without its flaws, and recent updates to the Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class have made the 3 Series look vulnerable. As a result, the latest model couldn't have come soon enough. Designers have worked hard to improve BMW in every area, while there's now a model to suit every taste and budget, including ES, ED, SE, Luxury, Modern and Sport. Bigger, more refined and with a range of efficient new engines, the all-new version is the best yet.

Peugeot 508 review - CarBuyer
Full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/peugeot/508/saloon/review
The Peugeot 508 is the firm's latest contender in the family car class. The looks may be a little divisive but at least they stand out, and this car's abilities are far more than skin deep. As well as being good to drive it's also luxurious and comfortable. The only problem could be with its price -- in range-topping trim it comes close to accomplished executive models such as the BMW 3-Series.
Mercedes-Benz S-Class review - CarBuyer
Full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/mercedes/s_class/saloon/review
With its high quality cabin and incredible luxury, the Mercedes S-Class is the best limousine money can buy. Comfort and build quality are second-to-none, while the engines are smooth and powerful. There's plenty of space inside, and long wheelbase versions offer huge amounts of rear passenger legroom.
BMW 3 Series 2005 - 2011 review - CarBuyer
Full Review at: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/bmw/series-3/saloon/review
The BMW 3 Series is the king of the hill in the compact executive car class and is a great car to drive. That said, it's not perfect -- the cabin, for example, is not as versatile or spacious as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and the boot is not as large the one in Audi's A4. Even so, it's a good all-rounder, and what's more it has some of the cleanest, greenest engines in its class. The diesel versions offer staggering fuel economy, as well as being refined and powerful, while the range-topping V8-engined M3 offers supercar-rivalling performance. That said, standard 3 Series models lag behind the class best for comfort, especially in M Sport trim.

Honda Civic review - CarBuyer
Full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/honda/civic/hatchback/review
The new Honda Civic is available to order from dealers now, with the first UK deliveries arriving in January 2012. Up against the Ford Focus and BMW 1 Series, the new Civic's styling is an evolution of the radical look of the previous edition, retaining the split rear window and short, curved bonnet. The new design gets LED running lights and a useful rear windscreen wiper.
Mazda6 Tourer review - CarBuyer
Full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/mazda/mazda6/estate/review
The Mazda6 Tourer takes on its rivals, which include the Ford Mondeo Estate, Honda Accord Tourer and Hyundai i40 Tourer with sharp looks and excellent running costs. It's lower, longer and wider than the previous model, uses less fuel and has the choice of 2.0-litre petrol or 2.2-litre turbodiesel engines. With three equipment levels, the SE, SE-L and Sport, it's well equipped with xenon headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels and a 5.8-inch touchscreen fitted across the range. There's also excellent safety technology, too, including an emergency auto-brake that automatically stops the car to avoid low-speed collisions, as well as radar cruise control that maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead on the motorway.

Mercedes C-Class review - CarBuyer
Full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/mercedes/c_class/saloon/review
Mercedes-Benz has given the C-Class a comprehensive overhaul, and the latest version of the popular saloon is better than ever. The more aggressive new grille and bumpers help it stand out, while inside, the dash has been totally redesigned, with better materials, a modernised layout and a slick new integrated media screen. The very latest face-lifted Mercedes C-Class has over 2,000 new components and whilst it looks familiar on the outside, the changes are most noticeable in the cabin. This raft of improvements make the C-Class a serious contender in the premium compact saloon class and a worthwhile competitor to the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4.
BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe review - CarBuyer
Full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/bmw/series-6/saloon/review
The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe is a luxurious four-door saloon with the stylish design of a coupe. Designed to rival the Mercedes-Benz CLS and Audi A7, the Gran Coupe is based on the 6 Series Coupe, but is stretched to accommodate an extra set of doors and create more legroom in the rear and a far larger boot. All engines provide impressive performance while the 640d is capable of returning fuel consumption of over 50mpg.
