Chevrolet Colorado VS GMC Canyon Start Up, Engine, and In Depth Comparison
In this video I give a full in depth tour and comparison of the chevrolet colorado and gmc canyon. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of these trucks while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicles themselves. I also show the engines and the details of them, start them up and see how they sound under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of these trucks designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicles.

2005 GMC canyon exhaust flowmaster cat-back
2005 GMC canyon 3.5L low milage . Great mid-size trucks ready to start any project...whether it is to race or to lift and go off road. This particular one has stock engine with cat back flowmaster 40. I'ved raced stock toyota tundras, tacomas, and the V8 dodge rams with "HEMI" engines...and its no match for these canyon trucks...they've got a great take off and great gas milage...Can't ask for more!!!

Crash Test 2004 - 2009 Chevrolet Colorado / 2004 - 2009 GMC Canyon / 2006 - 2008 Isuzu I-Series (Frontal Impact) IIHS
Chevrolet Colorado 2004-09 models results also apply to: 2004-09 GMC Canyon | 2006-08 Isuzu i-series FRONTAL OFFSET TEST OVERALL EVALUATION: Acceptable Structure/safety cage Injury measures Restraints/dummy kinematics Head/neck Chest Leg/foot, left Leg/foot, right Marginal Good Good Marginal Good Good Important: Frontal crash test ratings can be compared only among vehicles of similar weight. Test details: The Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon were introduced in the 2004 model year as replacements for the Chevrolet S-10 and GMC Sonoma. The Isuzu i-series pickup was introduced in the 2006 model year and discontinued after the 2008 model year. During the crash, intrusion by the tire and wheel into the driver footwell area combined with separation of the footwell from the rocker panel and door sill caused the dummy's left foot to be trapped underneath the brake pedal. The pedal had to be cut off to free the foot. This entrapment resulted in a structure rating downgrade from acceptable to marginal. Restraints/dummy kinematics — Movement of the upper part of the dummy was well controlled. After the dummy moved forward into the airbag, it rebounded into the seat without its head coming close to any stiff structure that could cause injury. Injury measures — Measures taken from the head, neck, and chest indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the left tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be possible.

2012 GMC CANYON SLT 4X4 CREW CAB
GMC CANYON SLT 4X4 CREW CAB 5 FT. BOX 126 IN. WB VITAL STATS Engine 3.7L I-5 Power 242 @ 5,600 rpm Transmission 4-spd auto w/OD 0-60 7.0 seconds Drivetrain four-wheel Monthly Payment $600 Seating 5 passengers Cargo NA MPG 16 City / 21 HWY Blue Book® Fair Purchase Price $31,391 Invoice Price $30,200 Warranty GM TOTAL Warranty 36 months/36,000 miles*Monthly payment estimate based on 0% down, 5% interest rate for 60 months; taxes, dealer delivery and extras not included. The GMC Canyon offers a variety of cab styles, suspensions and powertrains that make it both versatile and practical. Available in two- or four-wheel drive, the Canyon offers three body styles: regular cab, extended cab and crew cab. The base engine is a 185-horsepower 2.9-litre 4-cylinder engine, while a 242-hp 3.7-litre 5-cylinder engine is available (standard on four-wheel drive crew cab) on all models. A 300-horsepower flexible fuel 5.3-liter V8 is available on extended and crew cab models. There is a choice between five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmissions on 4-cylinder trucks, while all 5-cylinder and V8 engines send power through a four-speed automatic. Safety features include side curtain airbags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, daytime running lights and ignition disable. A pair of suspension choices is available: the rugged standard Z85 suspension and the Z71 off-road suspension. For 2012, the SLT trim is deleted for all but four-wheel drive Crew Cabs, and an SLE2 trim is added to the Crew Cabs and the four-wheel drive Extended Cab Cabs. A 4-speed automatic transmission is now standard equipment on SLE models. An automatic locking rear differential is now standard on 4x4 models.

Crash Test 2005 - 2009 Chevrolet Colorado / GMC Canyon (Side Impact) IIHS
Chevrolet Colorado 2004-09 models results also apply to: 2004-09 GMC Canyon SIDE IMPACT TEST WITHOUT OPTIONAL SIDE AIRBAGS OVERALL EVALUATION: Poor Injury measures Head protection Structure/safety cage Head/neck Torso Pelvis/leg Driver Marginal Poor Poor Poor Poor Rear passenger Good Marginal Good Marginal Important: Side impact crash test ratings can be compared across vehicle type and weight categories. Test details: The Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon were introduced in the 2004 model year as replacements for the Chevrolet S-10 and GMC Sonoma. The side impact crash test ratings do not apply to the Isuzu i-series pickup, which was introduced in the 2006 model year, because crew cab models have standard side airbags. The i-series was discontinued after the 2008 model year. Injury measures: Driver — Measures taken from the dummy indicate that rib fractures and/or internal organ injuries plus a fracture of the pelvis would be likely in a crash of this severity. Serious neck injuries would also be possible, and loading to the shoulder was excessive. Rear passenger — Measures taken from the dummy indicate that rib fractures would be possible in a crash of this severity. In addition, loading to the shoulder was excessive. Head protection: Driver — The dummy's head was hit by the intruding barrier. This impact did not produce high head injury measures, but head hits with intruding objects such as other vehicles, trees, and poles should be prevented. Rear passenger — The dummy's head was hit by the pillar behind the rear passenger door. This impact did not produce high head injury measures, but the head was not prevented from continuing to move outward and downward toward the window sill of the rear door. This indicates that only slightly different crash circumstances could produce a direct hit to a person's head from objects outside the vehicle.

2008 GMC Canyon 3.7L Inline 5 Cyl Start Up & Rev - 105K
Start Up & Rev of a 2008 GMC Canyon. This has a 3.7L DOHC Inline 5 Cylinder making a decent 242 HP while it's paired to a lame 4 Speed Auto. This is a small pickup but not a bad 1. The interior is just all cheap man made materials & this was a base model crew cab. It' does have a rather high HP 5 Cyl engine with lots of torque but sadly it's to a 4 Speed auto. This engine would've done great with 5 or more. It does serve as a decent work truck and if you need to bring so passengers along, it should suffice OK too. Another variation of this pickup is the Chevrolet Colorado. This & the Colorado also come with a smaller 2.9L 4 Cyl. And the 2009 and newer models are also offered with a 5.3L V8 making 300 HP which ought to make this a rocket of a pickup.
