2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat: 707 Horsepower? Hell Yeah! – Ignition Ep. 116
On this episode of Ignition, presented by Universal Technical Institute,
Carlos Lago drives the most powerful production muscle car on the market:
The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. While it isn’t the most powerful
production V-8 in the world (which loses to the $1 million McLaren P1 by 20
hp before electric motors), the Hellcat’s 707 hp rating seems too
incredible to believe -- especially when you consider the cost. The
question is whether this Challenger has any brain to go along with its
extreme brawn. Through a trip to the Dyno, the test track, the road,
and a standing mile, we find out.
Ignition appears every other Monday on the Motor Trend youtube channel.

I'm a T-6 paraplegic driving the 06 300C SRT8 with hand controls. It has a
Diablo tune, AFE 2 CAI, and resonator deletes. That's roughly 700.00 in
total mod costs.lol I Dyno tuned it last year at West
Bend Dyno and put down
It was in the high 40's last night so the track was NOT hooking well with
the minimal prep on test n tune night. My 60's were horrible 2.17s-2.19's
on my 20" yokohama parada spec x suv tires. They are great rain and snow
tires, but ain't the best for the track.lol I need to invest in some
stickier tires and get some more track time.
As far as the GT500, I'm guessing the high 40's temps plus street tires
makes for a challenging holeshot. Very nice GT nonetheless. I definitely
wouldn't mind having one in my garage.
