Northwest Vintage VW Meet 2011
The Northwest Vintage VW Meet held at Shoreline Community College just outside Seattle, WA July 16, 2011. Not even Seattle's crappy weather could not stop this from happening. The Seattle Solar Fest was held next door to us (yeah, the rainiest day of the summer) which made parking tight.

Track Attack 25th July 2012 Brands Hatch
July 25th 2012 saw the 'Track Attack' come to Brands Hatch Race Circuit.. the monthly Prept German Car meet was transformed into a spectacular mid-week extravaganza with VW Heritage, Apex Festival and Cool Flo Vintage bringing on and off track entertainment all afternoon and into the evening.
It was a huge success with thousands of enthusiasts passing through the gates of Brands Hatch and completely filling the paddock areas with displays of every imaginable style of motor.. from rat, to race, to restro, modified, performance, retro and modern machinery.
VW Heritage transcended the epic 25th Anniversary celebrations last year at the meet bringing more entertainment, features and partners together to make this one night event something really special.
Big thanks have to go out to all the organisers, staff and volunteers who made the 'Track Attack' such an incredible fun night and to the sponsors Prept, VW Heritage, Apex Festival and Cool Flo Vintage.

Restore vw fastback 19
This is a video of me and my auto mechanics students restoring a 72 vw fastback. My middle son got a new camera for Christmas and wanted to try out the video part of it so I thought we would give it a go. I found out most of the idle problem. Jim suggested to spray some WD40 in the idle circuit and see if it comes out both sides. Well I didn't have WD40 but I had PB blaster so I used that. Sure enough it was stopped up with some kind of trash. Unplugged that but it is still idling a little low so I checked the timing since we swapped out the points. The timing is a tad low. The Bentley says to line the third line from the left on the timing marks with the center of the peep hole on the Gen belt cover. l l ll But the highest I can get it is the second mark from the left. I can't go any higher because the fitting on the advance for the vacuum hose hits the generator. I guess I didn't get the distributor in there quite right during engine assembly. Any suggestions on pulling that shaft out so I can turn it a notch? The car runs good but not quite right as like I said the idle seems low, the plugs still try to foul a little when the engine is cold and it still has a random slight skip every once and a while as you may hear in the video. Anyway had fun just putting 6 miles on it today just circling the campus today.

This is the '67 VW 13 Window Deluxe Bus I did the bodywork, paint and partial re-assembly on several months ago. The owner just completed the final assembly. It turned out great!
VW CLUB OF HAWAII 2ND ANNUAL CRUISE TO THE ZOO * 6.24.2012
VW Ohana consisting of upwards of 68 VWs of VW Club of Hawaii, Vintage VW Club of Hawaii, 706 Ewa Beach VW Club, and Westside Ka'a Hui Bradahood cruised to the zoo for the 2nd annual Cruise to the Zoo Show and Shine raising $731.71 benefiting the Honolulu Zoo Conservation Fund.

2012 Annual RevScene Spring meet. Although it was cloudy, the weather was in excellent shooting condition. It was great to see all the cars out there, and the family and friends that came out as well.
