Legendary Dakar driver Bruce Garland took time out of his press and PR day taking place in the UK, to give us an incredible insight into what it takes to win in the Dakar rally. He talks openly about his near death crash on the 2011 Dakar, his road to recovery and his ambitions for the 2013 event. The Dakar is renowned as the worlds toughest rally raid event and Bruce's team have built an all new Isuzu D-Max for the 2012 event replacing his class special, rally modified monster desert eating and class winning turbo diesel Isuzu Rodeo.

Isuzu is going for gold in the 2013 Dakar Rally Raid. The experienced Isuzu Motorsports International Off-Road Race Team has carried out all preparation of the vehicle, which will be contested by Australian pair Bruce Garland (driver) and Harry Suzuki (co-driver). The 35th Dakar rally, the fifth in South America (Peru, Argentina, Chile), starts on 5 January 2013 in Lima, finishing fifteen days later in Santiago. Isuzu's D-Max Dakar will participate in the 'Car class - T2 (Cross Country Series Production vehicles)'.
