Ford Model t speedster race car {ReBUILDING HISTORY the series}

From stock the modifications to this car start with the engine, where it has been fitted with a Ricardo aftermarket head, Bosch front plate distributor, counter balanced crank, aluminum pistons, and fitted with a period correct updraft carb, all together it pumps out around a whopping 30-40 hp. The modifications to the frame include -Lowering the car about 5 inches without dropping the front axle. -Setting the engine and driver, back around 6 inches. This is done to change the look of the car as well as help with weight distribution. -Also notice the period correct friction shocks on all four corners As for the gearing ,the rear axle has been swapped out for an original Hall-Scott two speed axle that has been stuffed with 3 to 1 gears . -Other than that I'm still running the original two speed transmission. Setup as a race car it is not uncommon for model T's to hit speeds upwards of 65. "Brutus" race car - 750hp 46L V12 1908
"Brutus" from Germany at Concours d'élégance Paleis Het Loo, Apeldoorn, Netherlands. An extraordinary vehicle that was constructed in the Auto & Technik MUSEUM SINSHEIM's workshops under the project name "Brutus", is - like the Maybach special racing car - also following the tradition of the Blitzen-Benz. After WW I many aircraft engines were available since Germany was not allowed to own aircraft. These engines were installed on old undercarriages and used to perform races. An undercarriage with chaindrive of 1908 was being used as a basis for the "Brutus" project. A 12-cylinder aircraft engine with 46 liters displacement and a constant performance of 500 hp at 1500 rpm or 750 hp at 1700 rpm, that was located in Spain by our club member Hans Dittes, was mounted on top. The attraction of this vehicle is not least due to the fact that it is going to reach a speed of far beyond 100 km/h at about 800 rpm only. After several years of hard work the vehicle was completed. It already was presented in action at many events.

1917X
1917 Model T driving around in several feet of snow. This Model T has an accessory Livingood four-wheel-drive attachment, otherwise it is stock. It is dressed up to look like a WWI vehicle. Jesse Livingood is sometimes credited with inventing 4WD. His first patent was issued in 1912. He started selling conversion units in 1914. There is no evidence that the US government used 4WD T's in WWI, that I can find.
