The Group B cars could participate was that the only limits produce 200 cars .. Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Série 200
The Peugeot 205 T16 was created to homologate the 205 T16 Group B Rally Car. Peugeot had to produce 200 road-going examples, the road variants shared the transverse mid-engine, four-wheel drive layout of the rally car, but had less than half the power; at around 200 HP. The T was for turbo; the 16 stands for 16 valves, an uncommon feature at that time for turbocharged engines. Outwardly similar to a normal 205, the T16 had wider wheel arches, and the whole rear section lifted up to give access to the engine. Underneath, the complex drivetrain from the rally car was kept to abide by the Group B rules.

With 450 hp and a large a rear spoiler and deflectors into the front bumper. 1775 cc / 108.3 in³ 4 cylinders Garett turbocharged 424 bhp @ 7500 rpm The Peugeot 205 T16 was considered one of the most balanced cars in Group B. The Peugeot 205 turbo 16 won two drivers' titles and two constructors in 1985 and 1986. - Peugeot 205 T16 Evo 2 Llega en 1985 con modificaciones mecanicas i aerodinamicas. Con 450 cv y un gran alerón trasero y deflectores en el parachoques delantero. El peugeot 205 turbo 16 fué considerado como unos de los coches mas equilibrados dentro del Grupo B . El peugeot 205 turbo 16 ganó 2 Títulos de Pilotos y 2 de Constructores en 1985 y 1986.

WRC Rally Monte Carlo 1986 Group B (deel 1) The 1980s saw the rear-wheel-drive Group 2 and the more popular Group 4 cars be replaced by more powerful four-wheel-drive Group B cars. FISA legalized all-wheel-drive in 1979, but most manufacturers believed it was too complex to be successful. However, after Audi started entering Mikkola and the new four-wheel-drive Quattro in rallies for testing purposes with immediate success, other manufacturers started their all-wheel-drive projects. Group B regulations were introduced in the 1982 season, and with only a few restrictions allowed almost unlimited power. Audi took the constructors' title in 1982 and 1984 and drivers' title in 1983 (Mikkola) and 1984 (Stig Blomqvist). Audi's French female driver Michèle Mouton came close to winning the title in 1982, but had to settle for second place after Opel rival Röhrl. 1985 title seemed set to go to Vatanen and his Peugeot 205 T16 but a bad accident at the Rally Argentina left him to watch compatriot and team-mate Timo Salonen take the title instead. Italian Attilio Bettega had even a more severe crash with his Lancia 037 at the Tour de Corse and died instantly.

Vi hade kommit överens (med mycket korrespondens mellan Peugeot Sverige och museet l'Aventure Peugeot) om att få köra en lågmilad Peugeot 205 T16, den civila grå-metallic homologeringsversionen, byggd för gatan i 200 exemplar. Men när jag står och gör programlederi-prator i själva museet är inspelningsproducenten Olof Kyrkander ute i "Les Ateliers", museiverkstäderna, och kollar på vår provbil som vi ska köra på eftermiddagen. Han kommer tillbaka och väntar tills jag har satt mina prator i museet. Sedan säger han, både hemlighetsfullt och förvånat, att bilen vi ska köra är vit, har dekaler och burbåge...! Jag blir lite upprörd, skriker att jag inte har hjälm eller overall med mig och undrar hur vi ska lösa det här.
