August 2013 - 1997 Jeep Comanche Project Update(Driving and LOUD!)
It you just want to hear it run and drive skip to 3:55. The Comanche has been on on the road for over 1,300 miles now. It sounds great for how loud it is, but I will end up putting a muffler on it. Really all it comes down to are final bits. Making the exterior look pretty, finish the interior, and fix any lingering mechanical issues. I have not worked out it for the past month due to my Wrangler taking up the garage due to engine issues.

2015 Jeep Comanche - Compact Pickup Truck
In this video we check out the 2015 Jeep Comanche compact pickup truck. I created this rendering on photoshop to demonstrate what I think the vehicle would look like. I'm very excited to learn more about Jeep's future pickup truck offerings. Check out my website for more information: http://KevinReviews/autoadmission ---- The Jeep Comanche (designated MJ) is a pickup truck version of the Cherokee compact SUV that was produced from 1985 (and was marketed as a 1986 model year[3]) to 1992. Rear wheel (RWD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) models were available, as well as two cargo box lengths of six-feet (1.83 metres) or seven-feet (2.13 metres). During the mid-1980s, according to AMC Chairman W. Paul Tippett Jr.: "People are finding trucks a reasonable and sophisticated alternative to cars."[4] To satisfy the demand and to compete with Japanese competitors, both AMC and Chrysler were preparing pickups for the 1986 and 1987 model years (respectively).[4] Also at this time the financial health of AMC was poor and the automaker was in need of cash as it was preparing a new line of midsize vehicles (the Eagle Premier) scheduled to be produced at a factory being built in Canada (Brampton Assembly), but the best thing the company had going for it was its popular line of Jeeps and introducing a compact Jeep pickup truck in the fall of 1985 was expected to help.[5] The new Jeep Comanche was introduced mid-August 1985, at a lavish event staged at the ballroom of the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino (currently Bally's Las Vegas) for AMC's over 1,500 North American dealers.[6] American Motors included Chinese officials as part of the negotiations establishing Beijing Jeep (now Beijing Benz). The goal was to produce and sell Comanches in China through this joint venture.[6] The new trucks were unveiled by Jose Dedeurwaerder, an engineer and international business executive with 23 years of experience with Renault, and now appointed as AMC's new President. The base price of the two-wheel drive model was $7,049 (adjusted only for inflation equal to US$15,300 in 2013 dollars[7]), making it the lowest priced Jeep model for the 1986 model year.[8]

Axial SCX10 vs Tamiya CC01
This is a video of my SCX10 VS my Tamiya CC01. The SCX10 only mods are: 1) 55t Motor 2) Jeep Comanche body with Axial Dingo fender flares and diamond plate bed rails and rocker panels 3) Pro-Line Cherokee interior with action figure driver 4) Homemade styrene Skamper camper Tamiya CC01 Mods: 1)55t motor 2)Novak Eiger ESC 3)homemade rear suspension links for more travel 4)longer rear shocks for more travel 5)aluminum skid plate under chassis to help truck slide over things 6)front suspension arms modified for sharper turning and more travel 7)both front and rear diffs locked 8) rc4wd steel 1.55 beadlocks and rockcrusher tires with wheel weights 9) homemade front brush guard, roof rack, rear spare tire carrier 10)homemade aluminum battery tray for 2s 5000mah lipo 11)2 light controllers for all functioning lights 12)modified Hilux Safari Snorkel Even with all these mods the SCX10 still greatly outperforms the CC01. I think the CC01's main downfall is the tire size. They are smaller than the SCX10's. They are the largest size I could reasonably fit, and still rub the chassis.
