Olds 350 motor running out of car
This is the motor that I put into my 1985 Delta 88, replacing the blown
307. It's from a 1968 Olds Delmont. It is a 350 Rocket motor, 395558 block,
5 heads, and has a TH 400 tranny bolted up to it.
How you start it out of the car you All you gotta do is run a fuel line to
the carb and the other end to a fuel can with about a gallon of gas. Run a
battery to the disturbitor, and touch the wires together for the dis and
the starter and if it runs, it will fire right up

home-made 425 Oldsmobile powered death trap
Don't laugh to hard at this. My buddy's dad build himself a rail job
(death trap) race car, powered by a Oldsmobile 425 big block. Once again I
don't have all the info but it does have an Edelbrock intake and a Holley
carb. The Exhaust is running out open
manifolds. Also has airbag suspension in the back and some fat Mickey T's.
Check out the HUGE steering wheel, it's bigger than the actual wheels.
Gets crazy going down the road. Thankfully he never actually took it to
the track. It became doner parts for other projects. Have fun!!!!

Great history on this unique original muscle car from way back when cars
like this were the original muscle cars of the era. I have in my possession
an article from Street Rodder Magazine featuring this exact car from back
in 1975, this Olds was 25 years old at the time and Al Kvarme from Belmont
California would find specifically 1949 & 1950 Oldsmobile's and set them up
for drag racing. Back in 2010 when I was fortunite enough to find this car
from a friend I wrote Old Cars Weekly about this car and they liked it so
much they made it one of their "Cars of the Week", please google old Car
weekly car of the week November 2010 and open up the article and read their
story about my car.

ATSF 841 starts for the first time at the Illinois Railway Museum
The 16-251B Alco engine in the Santa Fe 841, an RSD15, has been seized for
the last 15+ years, ever since it came to the Illinois Railway Museum. In
January 2011 we were able to free the engine and make it turn again. We
finally found some time to complete the last few items and actually start
it for the first time at IRM. It took several attempts and some corrections
along the way, but she finally fired and idled on her own.
Oldsmobile Rocket 350 running on a homemade test stand
Hello to all those Oldsmobile fans out there!!!
This is my first engine build and also my first ever YouTube Video, so
bear with me..lol. This engine came out of a 1970 olds cutlass without A/C.
I kept the internals stock because its a great engine just as it came from
the factory. It has a Mondello balancer and sealed power cam and lifters.
Also added an HEI distributor and R46sz plugs for easier starts and
hopefully better fuel economy on high octane(91-93). Ask if you want
details on the motor or anything else, Bill
