Now that I've got the engine pulled from my 1970 Cutlass Supreme, it's time ot tear it down a bit and get ready for some cleaning and upgrades!





Olds 350 motor running out of car
This is the motor that I put into my 1985 Delta 88, replacing the blown 307. It's from a 1968 Olds Delmont. It is a 350 Rocket motor, 395558 block, 5 heads, and has a TH 400 tranny bolted up to it. How you start it out of the car you All you gotta do is run a fuel line to the carb and the other end to a fuel can with about a gallon of gas. Run a battery to the disturbitor, and touch the wires together for the dis and the starter´╗┐ and if it runs, it will fire right up

72 oldsmobile cutlass supreme 350 rocket FACTORY ORIGINAL NOT RESTORED
this was my great grandmothers car bought by my great grandfather in 71. car has never ever ben restored. everything is original except the stereo. original spare tire from factory. engine rebuilt 2 years ago at about 120,000 miles on it. had block hot tanked and we repainted everything external the air cleaner and cowl cover 4 radiator where. painted with a flat black epoxy new sticker on air cleaner. Larger cam by crane cams flat top pistons 4 a 9.6:1 compression ratio if im grany driven i can make it with mid grade fuel but if i'm hot rod n burning tires premium or better . "factory replacement dual Exhaust from year one with really short mufflers and stainless steel tips home made ORIGINAL STAMPS OF FIRE WALL DONE BY GM INSPECTOR. all original stickers weather missing or torn. seats and carpet are factory original untouched just front covered o the passenger side panal dont mach and is not origianl becaues my dad was driven her home from work at midnight it was raining and a dog come out on the road and try 2 miss but hit it any way. took care of the panal but the 442 panel is the same thing just need 2 be painted want 2 know any thing else or i missed sometihng just ask and ill tell u

1969 Olds 350 Rocket Engine for sale
Here is a good running 350 Oldsmobile Rocket motor. You can tell its rebuilt at some point. It has .030 over pistons in it. Mild cam. Runs great, no smoke, no noises! Great oil pressure. New gaskets and fresh paint. New plugs. Petronix kit in the distributor . (electric) NON points. 4bl intake. Comes with edelbrock 600 carb that needs freshened up. Carb is good just gummed up from sitting. DOES NOT come with headers, brackets, pulleys, or mini starter. From the 2002 Olds Club of America Nation meet in Lansing, MI Olds introduces turbocharging in '62, in their all-aluminum 215-cu in turbocharged Jetfire V-8 engine. Making one hp for each of its cu-in, with 10.25:1 compression, requiring the use of a 50/50 blend of methanol and water the company called turbo Rocket Fluid. Olds 303 The first overhead valve V8 Olds 455 W30 Olds 455 W-43 4 valve per cylinder 455 developed by JOHN BELTZ , LLOYD GILL , JOE JONES AND FRANK BALL. Rated at 500-550hp with a single Rochester Quadrajet on an aluminum manifold. Constructed with both cast iron heads and block and with aluminum-alloy block and heads 75 pounds lighter than the conventional 455 production engine. Engine featured four valves per cylinder with narrowed angles for a super efficient combustion chamber design, central spark plugs and could easily be adapted for chain for gear driven overhead camshafts. 455 engine had 4.625inch cylinder centers, a 4.125 bore and 4.250 stroke. Making use of the 3inch main bearings and 2.50 inch rod journals, the engine was fitted with a specially prepared cast crank fitted with SAE-1140 forged steel rods, forged 10.20-to-1 pistons which rode on Morraine 400 bearings. Four bolt main block boasted 2 additional 5/8inch drain holes. Four valve heads featured 1.750inch intake valves (SAE-8640 steel) with 22 degree stems and 1.375 Exhaust (214-N stainless steel) with 15 degree stems, special Stellite seats, bronze alloy guides, o ring plug tubes, 14mm spark plugs, 3/8 inch pushrods and aluminum rocker arms. (Of all the experimental Olds engines, this one came the closest to production and there are photos of this engine in street gear. MAY 71 HOT ROD MAGAZINE features some of these engines and the sadness of the Olds engineers of that time of how they would never be released.) . Olds 0W-43 all aluminum 455 with 4 valve per cylinders, four overhead cam Weber engine. With a redline of just under 8,500rpm it was originally conceived for Can-Am racing. At 3,000rpm it put out 300hp and at 6,000rpm registered over 600hp. The top output recorded for this engine in the Lansing Dyno facility was 700 real hp at 6,800rpm. Tests were run with both carbueration and fuel injection. The block was cast from Reynolds 356 alloy and fitted with pressed-in dry steel cylinder liners for the Forged-True 12.20:1 pistons. Billet steel connecting rods by Carillo was used along with a forged steel crank. The engine weighed in at 50 pounds lighter than the production 455 motor! It was developed at the same time as the ZL-1 Chevy 427 motor. Olds 455 DOHC Street Hemi Olds 455 455 dual turbocharged CAN AM ROCKET CHALLENGE. 659hp @ 6250rpm. 554lbs torque @ 6,250 rpm. Alloy block with 4 bolt mains. Forged steel crankshaft. Forged True pistons with 8.5 to 1 compression. 3inch main journals. 2.499inch rod journals. Carillo billet steel rods. alloy heads. 2inch intake valves. 1.625inch Exhaust valves. Crower roller camshaft with 555inch lift and 320 degrees duration. Dual TRW-375-E-10 turbochargers with Boost Wastegate 10-1/2 psi. Lucas fuel injection. Olds alloy intake. Competed with big block Chevy Mclarens and Porsche Panzers in CAN AM racing circa 68-69. Oldsmobile Rocket 350 running on a homemade test stand
Hello to all those Oldsmobile fans out there!!! This is my first engine build and also my first ever YouTube Video, so bear with me..lol. This engine came out of a 1970 olds cutlass without A/C. I kept the internals stock because its a great engine just as it came from the factory. It has a Mondello balancer and sealed power cam and lifters. Also added an HEI distributor and R46sz plugs for easier starts and hopefully better fuel economy on high octane(91-93). Ask if you want details on the motor or anything else, Bill
