1984 Trans Am HO just got her original carbutor back
I've just installed an original CC Quadrajet (17084205) in my 1984 Trans Am. She had a Holley 4777-7 before, way too big for the 305. It ran rich and stalled quite often at idle, and she smelled awfully bad. There is not a single computer connector installed, still it runs much better than with the Holley carb. It doesn't smell half as much as before.

This is the first, of my videos of my Knight Rider Replica. It all started with a 1982 Firebird Trans Am that I found sitting beside a guys barn. It was there for a year or so but was previously stored for the past 23 years in a garage. The project is going great so far I am starting with the exterior first as the interior needs no restoration with the car only having 48,000 miles on it and is mint inside. This summer I hope to get the KITT nose and taillight blackouts.

1987 Trans Am First Start Up
This is my 87 Trans Am. It came with the boatanchor 305 v8 but I acquired a 350. The 350 is bored .030 over and has forged pistons. The heads are stock LO5 truck heads but I have a LT1 cam in it. All the TPI hardware is from the 305 including the injectors AND computer. I put a thick washer in the fuel pressure regulator to increase the fuel pressure to supply more fuel for the 355. This is the first start up. Timing and tunning haven't been dialed in yet. Open headers for now baby!

My 1984 Trans Am WS6 L69 is enjoying the great Indian Summer in NOVA. And its color matches the scenery beautifully, right? ;) Only few F-Bodies were painted in this particular color - now you can take a closer look at this low mileage "dark goldwing metallic" Firebird. Hope you're having fun!
