A short vidéo I did just after I got the front bumper and did a few repairs in the wiring. She was still missing the hood insert.
You can see the somewhat rare Lear Siegler seats..
Can't wait to drive her again !
1984 Trans Am: A work in progress.
Here's a short video showing off my 1984 Trans Am. I totalled it on the highway, but right after started restoring it.
1984 Trans Am - Second start and low revving test
The second time I started the engine after setting the ignition correctly. It still needs tuning of course. Remember there is no Exhaust, only the manifolds are in place.
This is my first ever rebuild, so I'm quite happy now :D
A short video of my 177000 miles 1984 Trans Am revving, mostly stock 190hp 5.0L V8 (L69) : Edelbrock camshaft and lifters, Holley carburetor, chrome head covers (lol j/k). She's running fine but needs some work.
1984 Trans Am HO just got her original carbutor back
I've just installed an original CC Quadrajet (17084205) in my 1984 Trans Am. She had a Holley 4777-7 before, way too big for the 305. It ran rich and stalled quite often at idle, and she smelled awfully bad.
There is not a single computer connector installed, still it runs much better than with the Holley carb. It doesn't smell half as much as before.
1984 Trans Am - Very first start after rebuild and ignition
SHE'S ALIVE !!!!
Three years later, she breathes again.
And yes, this is the very first start after getting the ignition in order. It still needs tuning, but it's pretty good for a first one. I have never rebuilt an engine before. I doesn't smell bad, no weird smoke color, it seems to run on all eight cylinders. There is no Exhaust apart from the manifolds, so it's pretty noisy. Oil pressure seem fine, idle seems a bit high at 2000rpm but I'm not sure the tach works fine since it's the first time it's in the car after i repaired it.

1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 5.0 Litre 4 speed - SOLD!
As you probably know, the 3rd generation of Firebirds took flight in 1982 with 3 models including the Trans Am which is the high performance Firebird and was completely restyled, more aerodynamic and that year voted one of the 12 "Best Cars in the World" and also won "Best Sports GT Category in it's price range".
This 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is a great strong running car. Equipped with a 5.0 Litre V-8 OHV, 4 speed, it has approximately 88K miles. Although the paint is a little weak, the interior is very good, the body is straight and it runs GREAT!
There are also T-Tops, the rear end has been replaced with a Camaro 5-speed posi-traction rear end, the power steering pump was rebuilt, the radiator was replaced, the window weather stripping on doors was replaced, there are new front tires, the side shifting plate on transmission was repaired and inspected (Stock Saginaw) and of course the hatchback (which has new cylinders), turbo wheel covers, dual mirrors, rear deck spoiler, heavier suspension package that includes a "quicker" steering ratio, and full instrumentation including speedometer, trip odometer, tachometers, gauges for oil pressure, voltage, fuel level and coolant temp, etc. With the seats laid down, there is also a lot of room for your gear.
Don't miss your opportunity to own this great runner!
This car is in the greater Portland, OR area and is shown by appointment. Please call 503-855-4345 or 1-888-597-6719 for more information.
