Shows the Wolfsburg factory line where the Mk2s were assembled, explains improvements over the MK1 Rabbit such as aerodynamics and engine mounts, and goes over some service info like removing the headliner, radiator and condenser, fuel level sender and CIS transfer pump, drip moldings, and adjusting the door gaps. I think the footage of the factory is from 1983 or 1984, just after production of the MK1 had stopped. Content is not mine, and is presented for the VW nuts everywhere!

We finally got her mapped today for track use, after pulling 591.2hp@1.5bar around 5-6weeks ago on the street map, making sure she ran straight it was time to turn up the Boost. Unfortunately peak power figures were held back as we hit a 92% duty cycle on 1200cc injectors at the top end of the rev range. So once we know she still runs straight bigger injectors are on the shopping list.

Это Golf MK2 1991 года выпуска, который был доработан владельцем по имени Matt. Очень много воды утекло с самой первой доработки, ну а полный список всех модов -- просто безумен! Судя по внешнему виду, и не скажешь что автомобиль сильно доработан... стильные диски, правильная посадка, безупречное лакокрасочное покрытие. Большая работа была произведена под капотом: двигатель KR 1.8 16v, рабочий объем которого был увеличен до 1.9 литра, гибридная турбина Garrett t25/t28 на жидкостном охлаждении, модифицированный впускной коллектор от Golf MK4 GTI, топливная рейка от Audi TT, топливный регулятор на 4 Бар от Audi TT, форсунки Bosch на 440 сс, перепускник HKS и облегченный маховик от G60. В виду большого запаса мощности, для комфортной эксплуатации, автомобиль имеет 3 различных программы работы двигателя: Программа 1 @ 270 лс (0.7 бар) Программа 2 @ 300 лс (1.0 бар) Программа 3 @ 350 лс (1.5 бар) Вернемся к экстерьеру, благо тут есть о чем рассказать. Автомобиль был перекрашен в оригинальный цвет Golf Mk2 -- Calypso Metallic. Дверные замки и фиксирующие петли стали хромированными, а родные ручки дверей уступили место изделиям от Porsche. Бока получили узкие молдинги, а на крылья надели накладки от модели Golf MK2 G60. С помощью адаптеров от FK-Automotive с 5х100 на 5х130, на автомобиль установлены диски BBS RS149 от Porsche, размерностью 9х16, на которые натянута резина 215/40 R16 Toyo Proxes. Ну а койловеры Jamex обеспечивают великолепную посадку. Подушки передних амортизаторов от модели G60, а сзади из полиуретана, как и все сайлент-блоки в ходовой части. Родной стабилизатор поперечной устойчивости, уступил место стабилизатору от Golf MK3 VR6. Так же, от VR6 досталась и тормозная система, правда вместо родных элементов, по кругу использованы перфорированные тормозные диски и колодки Green Stuff. Вакуум от Passat, а главный цилиндр и тормозные шланги от Golf VR6. Еще, от VR6 позаимствованы подрамник и рычаги.
