[HD] '90 Subaru Loyale Water Pump Replacement
I posted a video a few days ago of coolant leaking from my engine. I replaced the gasket, and no luck. Concluded that my water pump was the problem, so I just installed my old pump from my old engine, since I know that it was working. This is why OEM Japanese parts work better than a cheap aftermarket part. There are two things I forgot to mention. First, you need to remove the outer timing belt cover to get to the water pump bolts. And two, if you have air conditioning, you'll have to remove/move the compressor too. Pretty simple of a job. Takes me about an hour, then 24 hours to let the RTV cure. Oh, and you have to wait a few days for the dealership to get the gasket in. 1990 Subaru Loyale (EA82; 5-speed D/R)

300+ HP Subaru Loyale Wagon
A 1990 Subaru Loyale wagon with a tuned up EJ255 from a 2007 WRX. Drivetrain sourced from a Subaru XT. The bad part is that this engine was only in the car temporarily. It was soon installed into a much newer Subaru, which means no more videos. I really wish I had been able to get more footage! This car belonged to my Subaru enthusiast buddy, I film many different vehicles as well as my own.
Hillclimbing in a subaru loyale!
This hill was a lot steeper than it looks on video! Plus the car has 272k miles on it and a blown head gasket! Still going strong though...
