Chevy Colorado | 2010 | Side Crash Test | NHTSA | CrashNet1
2010 Chevrolet Colorado / GMC Canyon NHTSA Side Impact Crash test dummies representing an average-sized adult male and a small-sized adult female are placed in the driver and rear passenger seats (driver's side), respectively, and are secured with seat belts. The side crash rating represents an intersection-type collision by having a 3,015-pound barrier moving at 38.5 mph (62km/h) into a standing vehicle. The moving barrier is covered with material that is crushable to replicate the front of a vehicle. -- Thumbs up for the crash dummies! Do you think this vehicle is safe? Would you buy it? Installation of a Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2010 Chevrolet Colorado - etrailer.com
http://www.etrailer.com/t1-2010_Chevrolet_Colorado.htm Today, on our 2010 Chevy Colorado we'll be installing the Tow Ready T1 connector, part number 118301.First, we'll need to locate the manufacturer's wiring, that is to the driver's side of the spare tire on the cross member of the vehicle. This will be identical to the connectors on our Tow Ready connector. We'll go ahead and press on the locking tab and separate the two connection points, and then we can take our Tow Ready connector and plug inline with the manufacturer's.We'll go ahead and secure our converter box. We'll peel back the cover of the two-way adhesive and stick it here to the frame. When adhering your converter box you just want to make sure that you have a clean flat surface to adhere to.Next, we'll go ahead and use the long zip tie provided with our install kit as an added measure of security and secure the converter box directly to the frame.Next, we'll go ahead and take the white wire with the free formed ring terminal, this is our ground wire that we'll need to attach to the frame of the vehicle. Using the self-tapping screw provided with our install kit, we can go ahead and secure it right here to the cross member which is directly welded to the frame. Now we'll go ahead and take our four-pole lead around over to the center of the bumper. I'll use several black zip ties to secure the wiring along the way. We'll go ahead and take our cutters and cut off the excess from the zip ties. That's it. Note: Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer installation instructions and specs for complete information.
