1966 Buick Convertible Barn Find Rescue, Part 1
This is the story of a '66 Buick Special convertible that had been abandoned in Arizona in 1978 by the family of Rick Pewe, editor of 4-Wheel & Off-Road magazine. In 2011, the guys from HOT ROD Magazine, in conjunction with Rick, spent four days bringing the car back from the dead with plans to drive it home from Phoenix to Los Angeles. This is part 1, with the hacking fun the guys had rescuing the car. Look for part two, loaded with road-trip hilarity. The story is printed in the September 2011 issue of HOT ROD Magazine.

9 Second Buick GSX Stage2 GS Stage1 9.51 @ 140
We originally built this car with Frank Urbinati back in 1996.It debuted at the GS Nationals where it won the GS Pro Street class races. It was also the 1st GS Pro Street class car to break into the 9's at the time. Thanks to Frank this project came to life. Fast forward to 2010 and the car has been taken over by Bob Ortolani, the car still looks great and Bob decided to bring it up another level. We were happy to have the car come back to our shop and to have the opportunity to work with Bob and put together the new powerplant. The video shows the results of our 1st day out to tune the engine. The 1st two passes were shakedowns to check fuel/oil pressures and get a feel for the new combo. By the 3rd run we had posted a 9.62 @ 138 hitting the 7100rpm rev limiter chip! The 4th run was a 9.52 @ 140. On the 5th run it went 9.51 @ 140.65! After a good cool down and a timing adjustment we were ready to try for a 9.40 run, launching right off idle the car gave us a nice big unexpected wheelie! The wheelie sure lookes cool but we know we can go quicker with a little more suspension work to straighten out the launch and try to keep the front down. We're sure it'll go into the 9.40's yet and maybe even 30's after everything is worked out.

1987 Buick Grand National (Regal T-Type Turbo) Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Review
**I made an editing error at the beginning. Thanks a bunch to Streetside Classics of Charlotte, NC for allowing me to film this video! Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! YouTube's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth look at the understated muscle car of the late 80s, the Buick Grand National, this one specifically the Regal T-Type. The GN and the T-Type are identical except for badging and interior trim. It wasn't until you stepped it on up to the GNX did you get the truly different package (which I will explain in the video). The GN is arguably the most menacing looking buick of all time with it's black monochrome paint scheme and turbo charged 3.8 V6 pumping out amazing performance numbers for the time period, even today! A unique experience to be able to check out one of these beasts. During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and Exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth reviews/tour of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of YouTube! Buick - History Documentary (1995)
This video is a wonderfully-done documentary, written and produced by Michael Rose, on the history of Buick as presented in 1995 from the History Channel's archive. Here is Michael's description of the video verbatim: "No one would have believed that the tinkering of a plumber would turn into the foundation of the world's largest corporation. But it did. David Dunbar Buick invented a process to adhere porcelain to tubs and other bathroom fixtures. But the Scottish immigrant dreamed of making a mark out of the bathroom, and set to work building a car. By 1900, he enlisted the aid of another inventor, Walter Marr, and they built their first vehicle. Their invention attracted the attention of one of Michigan's wealthiest men, William Crapo Durant, the president of the world's largest buggy-building business. As soon as he drove one of Buick's early creations, Durant realized that the days of the horse and buggy were over. He teamed up with Buick, and the two went on to make history. By the thirties, Buicks were regarded as some of the finest cars ever made. From the first Buicks through the birth of General Motors and into history, this is the compelling story of the partnership that eventually became the basis for the largest company in the world."

2014 Buick Regal GS AWD Review and Road Test
Check out my other videos! http://vid.io/xqoB Who is Alex? Find out here! http://vid.io/xqoF In my mind, Volkswagens used to be the "Euro Buick." Positioned as a note above the mass market rabble, VW's Passat shared parts with Audi's A4, the Touareg and Phaeton were luxury cars with a mass market logo on the hood. Then Volkswagen decided this was the wrong strategy for them so they repositioned VW as the German alternative to Toyota and Chevrolet. This left a gaping hole in the market for shoppers looking to step into a Eurpoean near-luxury vehicle that flew under the radar. And then Buick stepped in. Say what? That's right, Buick's Opel-based product offensive has transformed the brand from Barcalounger wheels for the octogenarian to a window into the soul of GM's German brand. This transformation isn't an easy one as Buick's problem wasn't just blue-haired buyers and slinky-soft springs. Buick is the penultimate middle child. Jammed between Chevrolet and Cadillac, brand B's mission is to give Chevy buyers something to aspire to and Cadillac buyers something to graduate from. The Buick Regal I had for a week is in even more of a tight spot being the middle child's middle child slotting between the Verano and LaCrosse. Drive GM's HiPer Strut suspension is designed to bring the steering axis more in line with the tire centerline, something you typically find in rear-wheel drive cars. Aligning the axises more closely results in better tracking, less torque steer and a front tire with a more consistent camber across the suspension's travel. Versus the outgoing model, the front tires contact patch is improved in corners when the front suspension is loaded resulting in higher grip. Coupled with an AWD system that sends 50% of the power to the rear under hard acceleration, we get the first Buick in a long time with virtually zero torque steer. The downside to the trendy new steering knuckle design is feel. Steering is very precise but suffers from the same Novocaine-laced feeback as everything else out there with electric power steering. Coupled with a 58/42 F/R weight distribution, the Regal GS has impeccable manners up to 9/10ths where things go pear-shaped and you start oversteering off into the bushes. Trouble is without steering feedback it's hard to tell where 9/10ths is located. In contrast, the Volvo S60 T6 AWD and S80 T6 AWD offer less grip but more feel. 2014 Buick Regal GS AWD Exterior-007 Driving a FWD Regal back to back with out AWD tester, I kept thinking "there's just something I dislike about the FWD model". As it turns out there is a reason the FWD Regal felt unsettled in the rear over broken pavement, the AWD model gets an entirely different "H-Link" independent rear suspension. Coupled with the active dampers, the Regal felt well composed on a variety of road surfaces despite being tuned firmer than the rest of the American and Swedish competition. Put your foot to the floor and the 2014 GS will run to 60 in 6.7 seconds, exactly the same as the W-Body Regal GS I remember with fond memories. The difference of course is that the W-Body's torque steer made the car feel like it was part car ans part carnival ride while the 2014 model tracks straight and true with zero drama all the way to a 15.2 second 1/4 mile. Stacking this up with the competition, the Regal is notably slower than the Cadillac CTS/ATS 2.0T and Volvo's 3.0L turbocharged models; and a hair slower than the 3.7L Lincoln MKZ, Lexus ES 350 and Acura TL.
