'82 Mercedes 300TDT First Start In 8 Years
Just bought two more of these wonderful cars. This one is a 1982 model,
that sat behind a barn for 8-10 years. I'm going to use this one as a parts
car, because the car is rusted beyond repair.
Cold Start the 1972 Plymouth Fury! Brrrr...
Hi! Its cold and there's a lot of snow on the ol' 72 Fury. Lets see if it
will go. I bought this car about 5 years ago, and I've been using it as a
daily driver since then. It shows about 75000 miles, so it should last me a
while yet. I like these fuselage models, especially the 72 Fury. Its a mean
looking old thing! I actually hit a moose with this car last week, and it
didn't leave a mark on the car! No wonder the cops liked these things,
they're incredibly tough, even if they are a bit hard to look at. Thanks
for checking it out!

1939 SS Jaguar starts after 20 years in bits
I only put 1 gallon of petrol in her tank and after an initial few kicks
she refused to start until it dawned on me that I needed to pull out the
petrol reserve tap. The engine has no timing marks and she spits back due
to being far too far advanced. She's also very tappety.
The drive out of the garage was my first experience of driving her and the
street scene was the first time of her being out on the public highway. At
this stage she had a very noisey rear axle and gearbox and no interior

Studebaker startup after 17 years
I found this 54 Studebaker in a driveway in Martinez CA. in 1999. This is
the same car shown later in "My dad's old Studebaker", which, by the way,
isn't really his dad's old car. His dad's car went to a close friend of
Spitfire OUV. A Truly Emotional Start-Up. www.ml407.co.uk
Nick Grace bought the 2 seat Spitfire in 1979 in a dismantled state and
after 5 years of work took off with his wife Carolyn on their first flight.
Apart from the substantial task of general re-assembly the fuselage and
wings were essentially as they left the factory but a large amount of the
work involved stripping back to bare metal and re-riveting after treatment
with modern anticorrosives which is why OUV is still operational today with
no corrosion. Tragically Nick was killed in a car accident in 1988 but his
widow continues to fly OUV. This short clip is taken from the film "Perfect
Lady" which covers the full story of OUV's restoration. It and other videos
are available from Carolyn's website with all profits going to maintain the
Spitfire in flying condition.
