In case anyone is curious, yes, I've owned tons of Mopar products! There
is a SRT4 in my driveway right now. I've had Coronet R/T's, Challenger RT,
Demon's, 300's, SRT8's, I love em all! And I have no problem with other
cool Musclecars. I even own a Buick with a V6 that is fairly
quick......However....I loves me Mother Mopar!
I'm back in the old school! I have a "NEW" 70 Coronet R/T! Burnt
Orange/White interior numbers matching, bla bla bla bla!!! Will post pics
of it in my new Mopar song. Yeah, I'm doing another one, yeah I'm corny!
Actually 2 tunes. One, I penned back in the mid 80's called Red Light. It
was about my 69 R/T.
AAR Cuda Mopar 340 TA Engine block
In 1969-1970 Chrysler made a special 340 engine for the AAR Cuda and the
T/A Challenger. These engines were different than a standard 340 used in
other Mopars. The TA engines had the designation embossed on the block,
driver side. If you're buying a TA 340 also check the heads by removing the
oil cap on the passenger side. With the cap off look inside and the rear
rocker should be offset. You may need a flashlight to see it.
If you scattered the original engine you may have received a standard 340
replacement block. I've heard stories both ways. My buddy back in 1970 went
through 3 warranty transmissions before they said enough.
Some of the later blocks which were left over made their way into 1971 340
Road Runners and other cars. If you're looking at a 340, look closely
because the TA340 are still around.

lower compression (8.5:1) Speed Pro forged pistons. Topped off with 6-71 Supercharger and dual 750 Edelbrocks.

My friend just today bought this awesome '65 Plymouth Belvedere 440,
4-speed, Dana Rear and totally restored. The builder had not even quite
finished it and decided to sell. He had never even started the brand new
engine or driven it out the garage. What a damn deal. The guy cut no
corners at all. Everywhere he could he bought the real Mopar Parts. The car

This past weekend Jordan and I went to Mega Mopar at Gateway Motorsports
Park and it was awesome! They had a huge car show, a swap meet, nostaglia
drags, funny cars, a wheelstander, and more. We really had a great time! I
tried to pack as much action into the video as I could. There was a sea of
awesome Mopars....Daytonas, Challengers, Chargers, Darts, Super Bees...the
list goes on and on. It was a weekend filled with hemis, wedges, Superchargers, and dual carbs. If you were there,
and your car is not in this video, please don't dispair....I will have much
more coverage coming up in the days ahead. I hope you found it

Go for a Spin in a 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A with 340 Sixpack Engine and 320hp

Challenger T/A 340 "Six Pack" muscle car in "Top Banana" yellow.
The slapstick transmission function is used only for upshifts. You manually
put it into first gear. As you accelerate - and the rpms are where you want
it - you just slap the shift lever to the right.
In order to race in the Sports Car Club of America's Trans American Sedan
Championship, Dodge built the Dodge Challenger T/A (Trans Am).
The 340 engine added a trio of two-barrel carburetors on top of an
Edelbrock intake manifold, creating the "340 Six Pack". horsepower was about 320 hp.
The engine breathed air through a suitcase sized air scoop molded into the
fiberglass hood. Dual Exhausts ran to
the stock muffler location under the trunk, then reversed direction to exit
in chrome outlets in front of the rear wheels.
