AWESOME Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis Concept Car Video @ Detroit Auto Show 2013

Dubbed the HCD-15 Genesis Concept, this futuristic looking ride with loud lines was a hit at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. Autobytel catches up with Derek Joyce for some great insights on the Hyundai HCD-14 Concept car. The first thing you notice is the bold and interesting design elements. The lines follow body panels that are undisturbed for the entire length of the car. This Hyundai Concept looks great from all angles, but the best part is the hood that seems to go on forever. The giant rims add to the high end feel and the clam shell doors give this concept a high end feeling. The interior is equally as interesting as the exterior. Concepts are meant to push the limit and Hyundai gave us a shock. The center console has a topographical feature that adds character. Cutting edge technology is evident in the eye tracking system that responds to your eye and hand gestures. The rear passengers get the racing seat treatment. Overall the HCD-14 Concept looks the part of luxury sports car on the inside as well as the outside. Mr. Joyce tells us that the Genesis Concept is ready for a bit of spirited driving too! The multi-link suspension handles the bumps while the stiff chassis holds tight in the corners. The HCD-14 is powered by the TAU 5.0 liter V-8 engine. This beast currently powers the Genesis R-Spec and puts out 429 horsepower and 376 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a high-tech 8-speed automatic. 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class Luxury Car U.S. Sneak Preview Video @ 2013 Detroit Auto Show

This entry-level luxury car features the aggressive and sporty design found on higher end Mercedes vehicles combined with a finely crafted luxury interior; all at a very affordable price tag of around $30,000. The 2014 Mercedes CLA-Class should be hitting dealer showrooms this fall. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class includes many features and options found on much more expensive luxury cars. The engine is a turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a dual-clutch 7-speed automatic. Outside the aggressive lines are not just for looks; instead they help with the aerodynamics of the car. LED daytime headlights are a staple in the luxury market and the CLA-Class sports some of the most beautiful lights found on any car. The front sport grille is very eyecatching with its silver-tipped studs. The large alloy wheels compliment the rest of the exterior. The 2014 Mercedes CLA is a significant vehicle for the Tri-Star brand. Basically the CLA has the Executive Premium Styling found in the CLS brought down to an entry level luxury car. The Mercedes CLA is the new baby of the bunch; it is essentially a CLS in a smaller package. The exterior is very stunning thanks to the muscular 4-door coupe styling. The CLA has a lot going on, it is very luxurious on the inside and it looks fantastic on the outside. The meat under the hood is a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine pushing out a little over 200 horsepower and 250 lb-ft. of torque. As awesome as the outside is, the interior is an excellent place to be. The gauges look futuristic, the seats are comfortable, and the backseats have plenty of room. All of this adds up to a very impressive package. This might be a very hot seller for Mercedes-Benz. Besides the exterior styling, that wonderful interior, and the excellent engine; is the price which starts at around $30k. This car is a stunner and should hit showrooms later this year. 2014 Mazda6 SKYACTIV-D Grand Am Race Car from Rolex 24 at Daytona
Recently Mazda rolled out 3 new cars to compete in the Grand Am Race Car Series. These 2014 Mazda6 Sedans are powered by SKYACTIV Diesel engines. At the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, John Doonan Director of Mazda Motorsports, gives us some insights into campaigning a new set of race cars at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona. According to Mr. Doonan: "Anyone that knows Mazda knows we dream big. Certainly the launch of the SKYACTIV Clean Diesel race engine in the 2014 Mazda6 at the Rolex 24 was an example of that. The results at the end of the race are not what we had hoped for, but we are part of a development project with this engine as well as with this new platform. We learned a lot and unfortunately the same issue happened with all 3 of the engines. This is common when developing a new race car. You can hone in on that particular issue and solve it going forward." "We are very excited about the next step. We go to Austin Texas for the Circuit of the Americas in just under a month for the next round. Hopefully we will have solved all the issues and there will be some track testing between now and then to give it a go and make sure we are prepared to continue the development process and prove the reliability of this diesel package." 2013 Ford Fusion SE EcoBoost Test Drive & Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/ford/fusion/2013/ The new 2013 Ford Fusion marks the second coming for this nameplate. This sedan sets itself apart from the rest of the pack thanks to the wonderful styling. The first generation vehicle was available from 2006-2012 with a nice little styling update happening in 2010. But this second generation car blows the doors off of the first thanks in part to the Kinetic Design lines on the exterior and the EcoBoost engine under the hood. The 2013 Ford Fusion SE has a base price of $23,720 with an addition charge of $795 to upgrade to the 1.6 liter EcoBoost engine. When you first see the 2013 Ford Fusion you are immediately taken aback. Even after being around the car for some time, the Kinetic Design elements and lines of the sedan still evoke a smile. Up front the grille looks like it came right off of an Aston Martin. From the factory the Fusion SE comes standard with 17-inch rims. Upgrading to the 18-inch premium wheels add to the sportiness. All the exterior parts including the mirrors, handles, molding, and bumpers are all color matched. The rear deck spoiler is a nice option. The Fusion also gets LED taillights and projector headlights. Under the hood of the SE lives a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder. This base engine makes 175 horsepower. Upgrading to the 1.6 liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine will get you a bit more horsepower and torque, but a lot more MPG's for you money. The standard engine gets 22 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. The 1.6 liter with a 6-speed manual transmission will net 25 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway. There is also a ton of standard safety features on the Fusion that include: airbags, torque vectoring control, stability control, and brake assist. This 2013 Ford Fusion features the Technology Package powered by MyFord Sync, a 1.6 liter EcoBoost engine, sport wheels, and a rear spoiler which brings the total price to around $26k. I have has a chance to drive the car for a few days now, it just arrived last week. We are barely into calendar 2013 yet but this is a 2014 model. The car industry will never follow the proper calendar. We are living in the future here. The materials are absolutely top notch. Mid-sized cars are generally called family cars. This is a family car but for anyone who wants to have a little bit more fun with the car this car can sure take a corner and has enough power for most people to get pretty excited about. This is our second SKYACTIV engine. Mazda's answer to the problem posed by rising fuel prices. It is a re-think of the internal combustion engine first and foremost. Mazda engineers tried to tweak the internal combustion engine to get the most power out of every drop of fuel that goes in there. The engine is a 13 to 1 compression ratio which is a combustion ratio not normally seen in an everyday passenger car. This vehicle has a lot of low end torque. Powering out of a corner the power is immediate; the transmission knows exactly what gear to be in. All of the down shifts are revv matched. It feels like a relatively high performance vehicle while still being just a 4 cylinder engine. This is our second vehicle to feature what they call a KODO soul of motion design language. What it is supposed to invoke is the feeling of movement, without the car actually moving. The lines on the car really make it stand out on the road. There really is something special about this car where mid-sized cars traditionally are kind of practical. Whereas this car is a lot of fun to drive, it gets great fuel economy. It is a winning package if you will. This vehicle really should be competing in a higher category.
