2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid Test Drive & Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/ford/fusion-hybrid/2013/?id=32972 The Ford Fusion Hybrid debuted back in 2009 and enjoyed some nice recognition and sales. If you want an American made mid-sized sedan that is also a hybrid, this is just about your only choice. Plus, the Fusion Hybrid is a great alternative to the competition since it looks like a normal car instead of the wedge shape that is typically associated with most hybrid cars. When the Fusion Hybrid hit the market it came with an excellent fuel efficient drivetrain a couple of unique features that include: an Eco Smart Gauge and seats made from recycled materials. But now Ford has introduced an all new redesigned second generation Fusion Hybrid that builds upon the success of the first generation. The 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid has a base price of $27,200. America has spoken and hybrid technology has surpassed diesel by a margin of over 3-1 and growing. So Ford wants to cash in with the all new redesigned 2013 Fusion Hybrid. What is so exciting about this new redesigned car? Well the looks for one! Ford has really changed the game in regards to what a mid-sized sedan should look like. Ford at one time owned Aston Martin and you can see some of that influence up front on the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The front grille, the headlights, the sloping hood; all remind you of an Aston Martin. If you have to drive a mid-sized sedan then why not drive one with style? Under the hood is a 2.0 liter Atkinson Cycle inline 4-cyliner engine that makes 141 horsepower coupled to a 47 HP electric motor; hence the hybrid power plant. The total power output is 188 HP with fuel economy figures of 47 MPG in the city and 47 MPG on the highway. The transmission is a CVT unit. The batteries are located in the trunk area. There is still a lot of usable space back there. Overall on the inside Ford has done a wonderful job with the interior. The feel resembles a modern high-tech piece of art. The sleek design is similar to what you may see in a Volvo. The buttons feature capacitive touch feedback which is a hot new technology. The materials are much better and the technologies are cutting edge and this make the Fusion Hybrid interior one of the best places to be. The seats are made of recycled material and you will be pleasantly surprised how comfortable they are. Toyota has clearly established themselves as the hybrid technology leader here in the U.S. They sell over 230k Prius hybrids alone per year. In this segment the Camry Hybrid is still king but the Fusion Hybrid is going to give that car a run for its money. 2013 Honda Fit EV Test Drive & Electric Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/honda/fit-ev/2013/ The Honda Fit debuted a few years ago to great acclaim. This sporty little subcompact car is full of character and offers tons of utility and practicality all wrapped up into one fuel efficient package. Buy Honda has decided to take things to the next level with the introduction of the 2013 Honda Fit EV. This electric vehicle is one of the most efficient production cars with an MPGe range of 132 in the city and 105 on the highway. The Honda Fit EV also has a range of about 80 miles. The price on the 2013 Honda Fit EV is $36,625 but for now the Fit EV is only available as a lease. The Honda Fit is one of the favorite subcompact cars on the market here in the U.S. It looks great, drives well, and gets good fuel economy. Honda really nailed the mark with the Fit. With the announcement of the new 2013 Honda Fit EV, many people were excited to get their hands on this hot new electric car. This biggest thing about electric vehicles is range anxiety. The Fit EV is rated at 82 miles but the car will adjust the range based on your driving habits. The faster or harder you drive the more the range drops. Your Honda Fit EV will come equipped with a 120V charger which fit nicely into the integrated space in the cargo area. Opting for the 220V charger will drastically reduce the charging time by two-thirds to about 3 hours' time. The 2013 Honda Fit EV is very versatile. It is a 5-door hatchback with split second row seats so you can fold down one or both. It's a great design and makes a lot of sense for car buyers, especially those looking to purchase an electric vehicle. The Fit EV has a very simple design on the inside with an easy to use infotainment system. In sport mode the car makes 123 horsepower and 189 lb-ft. of torque which is a lot more than the regular gasoline powered model. The car is very consistent and quiet. The ride is smooth and there are no gears to change thanks to the transmission. One of the unique things about the Fit EV is that you cannot buy it. There is an MSRP yes, but Honda is only offering a 3 year lease for this car right now.
