2004 Cadillac CTS-V w/LS7 swap. 0-60 in roughly 4.5 seconds

This is some footage of me launching my 2004 Cadillac CTS-V rocket ship. The V has an LS7 motor swap and Ford 9 inch rear end. The car makes right at 475rwhp and 521 rwtq. It's a rocket and yet oh so beautiful. This launch was done on a private back road with no other cars. I stopped at 60 so please don't give me any grief about "road racing" and garbage like that. Additionally, I only launched the car like this one time for the sake of recording it. It's not typical driving for me, although with the Ford 9 inch rear you could probably launch 1000 times like this and have no issues at all. Based on the timing of the video this 0-60 took somewhere between 4-5 seconds. Obviously this run was done far below 100% due to my lack of 3 hands (camera, steering wheel, shifter) This was done with one hand on the camera and one shifting, and there's something about 521 rwtq that likes to try to throw the back end out so I had to back off a little since I was keeping it straight with my knees.. :) I actually wouldn't be surprised if it could manage a sub-4 second 0-60. As of 08/20/2009 it's up for sale... why, you may ask, would I part with such a beautiful and unique monster. Well... I just found out that I have much more live version of a real baby on the way. And this "toy" is one of the sacrifices I'll be making. This is my Cadillac CTS-V "Monster" Every other night on the west side of San Antonio Texas right around 1am. for about 6 weeks... this badass s2000 would rev his engine at our cts v as we passed each other in the opposite direction... until this night i decided to turn around.. btw listen to his engine rev as he passes by me.. see video... Nonetheless, it is a nice s2000!!

CBM MOTORSPORTS LS7 PORSCHE 911 SWAP
The Corvette and the Porsche 911 have two things in common; they represent the ultimate sports car for their respective countries of origin, and they're both mortal enemies. Porsche and Corvette owners never can quite see eye to eye, with both always claiming that they have the world's best "affordable" sports car. The rivalry between the two camps stems from the '50s, and doesn't appear to be going away anytime soon. We agree that both are great cars, however, being quite partial to the GM LS engine platform ourselves, we tend to favor the Vette over Stuttgart's finest. Chris Bland (CBM) the owner of this black 911, who removed the 325HP flat six from his Porsche to replace it with that of a modified LS7 sourced from a Corvette Z06. Before swapping it, he added a few more speed parts, and the LS7 911 is now packing 630 horsepower.

Had a long drive home, found a straight and open road. As you see, tires wanted to spin all the ay through 3rd and about 30mph. Car had plenty left.... looks like it stayed around 9-10lbs the whole time. THIS IS STOCK!

Don't buy GM cars! Stuck with a 2009 Cadillac CTS lemon as GM goes Bankrupt
After 4 months of negotiations between General Motors and my lawyer, my car was deemed to be a lemon. It has gotten stuck in 1st or 2nd gear on 10 occasions. Lund Cadillac in Phoenix Arizona stated they cannot reproduce probem, so car is ok. See video footage they dismissed! General Motors retracted the offer, and now that they are bankrupt I cannot take them to court! I haven't had my car in months, and now am stuck with a $45K piece of junk! DO NOT BUY GENERAL MOTORS PRODUCTS ANYMORE, THEY DO NOT NEED TO STAND BEHIND THEIR CARS UPDATE: Well GM never stood behind this car and it was never fixed. I was forced to purchase a new vehicle at full price.
