The BMW E34 is the version of the BMW 5 Series automobile sold from February 1988 to 1995 with the Touring model ending June 1996. It replaced the BMW E28 in 1988 and was replaced by the BMW E39 in 1996. Development ran from July 1981 to late 1987, with design specifications being chosen in 1982 and finalized for production in mid-1985. In the North-American market the BMW E34 succeeded the BMW E28 in May 1988 with two models. The 525i used the BMW M20 engine while the BMW 535i used the larger M30. From 1990 to 1994 (model years 1991–1994), Mercedes-Benz sold a high-performance version of the W124, the Mercedes-Benz 500 E (W124.036). The Mercedes-Benz 500 E was created in close cooperation with Porsche; each Mercedes-Benz 500 E was hand-built by Porsche, being transported back and forth between the Mercedes plant and Porsche's Rossle-Bau plant in Zuffenhausen, Germany during assembly — taking a full 18 days to complete each model. Design began in 1989 and into 1991. Called 'Mercedes-Benz 500 E' through model year 1993, for model year 1994 it was face-lifted along with the rest of the range and renamed to Mercedes-Benz 'E 500'.

My 540i with new pipes block-back. 3.5 inch tips. Revs did not exceed 4500 rpm. I'll do a redline vid if requested. EDIT: Guess YouTube muffles the sound a little? Its louder than in the video. $550 total for everything cat-back. Another $200 for the pipes engine-to-cat. All less than a B&B catback.
