It really didn't get more deluxe that this..the flagship of the Pontiac fleet! TriPower was a triple carburetor setup that added but $93.50 to the cost of a four barrel setup. Rochester fuel injection was also offered, but that was $500 extra! The regular tripower setup yielded 300 horsepower. You have to love the color matched interior, and all that chrome! There was an obvious rocket, horizontal on the side of this car! Only in America!

1955 Pontiac StarChief Hardtop Bronze/Cream
A banner year for Pontiac...a new overhead valve V8 to keep up with the tech flow of 1955...the ever present dual range Hydramatic, the wrap around windshield, and interestingly a front end that seems to merge the grille area with the bumper..very trend setting for the time! The colors are fantastic..very popular...and they carried over to the inside. Notice the chrome bows in the roof, to continue the illusion of a convertible! Eventually those chrome strips on the hood would disappear, along with the iconic Chief Pontiac...but they are here now in force.

Here's a really neat '57 Safari wagon! It has a Chevy 350 cubic inch V8 and a turbo 350 automatic transmission to move it along. Under the hood you'll find a Quadrajet carburetor, electric fan, chrome valve covers, chrome air cleaner, chrome alternator, Mallory distributor, Mustang II front end with adjustable coil over suspension, and new power disc brakes! Inside it has diamond tuck interior and new carpet! The rear seats fold down so you can haul big items like a surf board! All the lights and the wipers work, and it drives fantastic down the road! It also has new OEM style floor pans and body to frame braces. It sits just right, and sounds like a true hot rod with dual, side exiting, Exhaust! The look is completed with a set of white wall tires and Pontiac hub caps. A really cool wagon with really cool patina!

History
The Chevrolet Biscayne was a series of automobile produced by Chevrolet for model years 1958 through 1972. Named after a show car displayed at the 1955 General Motors Motorama, the Biscayne was the least expensive model in the Chevrolet full-size car range. The absence of most exterior and fancy interior trimmings remained through the life of the series, as the slightly costlier Chevrolet Bel Air offered more interior and exterior trimmings at a price significantly lower than the mid-line Chevrolet Impala.

SOLD 1957 Pontiac Star Chief Catalina 2 Door Hard Top SOLD
TThis is one of my favorite cars. They may look the same size as a 57 Chev but they are longer and more luxurious. 347 V-8 engine. AT trans. Power steering. Power brakes. Red and white paint. Good looking red and white interior. This was a green car in the beginning. We just rebuilt the brakes. We replaced the 2 rear drums and installed new wheel cylinders and brake shoes. Serviced and safety checked. Installed a new 12 volt wiper motor. Rebuilt both heater cores and had the temp control rebuilt. Restored the steering wheel. This car has eyeball. The paint is fair. Actually if few spots were touched up it would not need to be repainted for a time. Engine runs great and it drives well. The trans is slow to start and one of my customers that I have sold 2 57s he said both of his cars work the same way. Tires are almost new. # 3 - cond.
