We dragged out the 82E after a long sleep. It was experiencing numerous issues including a wonky oil pressure sensor, bad gas and a couple other typical long sleep problems. It resides in Australia now. When you have vehicles that end up sitting too long between runs it is time to send them on to new homes. Old vehicles have to be run regularly!!
This was a VERY cold day! Ten Degrees! Try holding a video camera outside and on top of a jeep at 40 mph to see what its like, it was so fun, we did not feel the cold as much. This is a world war II, KDF 82E.

I so love it, but why she was stalling? Ah the manual choke was not pulled out enough..
Something to learn when you drive an old bug!
You can hear the gearbox whining and the engine Whistle, thats how a beetle needs to sound!

Rock Crawling my VW Baja Bug - NOT FAKE!!!
Rock crawling my bad ass VW baja bug in the Sierra Mountains. This is a totally modified 1970 VW beetle with a full chassis, King coilover shocks on all fours, with a 2165cc turbo, Megasquirt EFI system. This car totally rocks off roading and runs like a dream with the Megasquirt, EDIS-4 electronic fuel injection system. Music created by me with Garageband and a harmonica on a Mac, 2010.

Their was around 25 guys trying to qualify for the 12 spots available for the main show on Saturday at Flat Nasty offroad park. They weren't holding back and man it was some good entertainment.
