Monte Carlo SS 305 H.O. First drive with the old 305 back in
For those of you who have been with me from the beginning of the
installation of the original 305, here is the first drive. It used a lot
more gasoline than I expected, so I'm not going to drive it any more until
the new fuel tank is installed. Once that happens, it should be on the
road for good. Seems to run ok so far.
For those of you who haven't been following, this engine is the original
engine that was removed from the car in 1998 when a crate motor was
installed by the original owner. When I bought the car earlier this year,
he also gave me the original engine. The ZZ3 came out for use in my turbo Iroc project, so for now the 305
goes back in the Monte until the new engine is built.
