68 Mercury Cougar with a 418 cid stroker motor. The motor is a 351W block it has a Eagle forged stroker crank, forged H-beam rods, SRP pistons, Canton oil pan, Camshaft innovations SFT cam, Canfield 195 heads, Victor Jr. intake, 1000 CFM drag race demon carb, MSD billet dist. MSD ignition system, Hooker headers,Aluminum radiator, C4 with a Billet 4000 stall converter, 9" rear end with 3:55 gears & detroit locker. Yukon 31 spline axles.

I took the Cougar out for some testing and tuning again. I don't have access to a truck anymore, so I had to haul all my stuff to the track in the Cougar. I'll admit that I felt like a redneck driving around with a tire in the backseat and a toolbox on the passenger seat. I was planning on running the bottle this time out, but found a small mechanical problem before I went to the track, so it ended up being another day running on the motor. This pass was 6.87 @ 101.20. Not too bad for driving to the track.

My '68 Mercury Cougar get his first Dyno run. This is on the old Torker 289 intake, long headers of questionable parentage, 284H Crane cam and jetting as it came, I've rebuilt the 700cfm Holley DP carb and there's a 2.5" Magnaflow system on it. On, and the brand new T5 gearbox. :) V.
