The 2011 5.0L Mustang Supercharging Systems from Vortech...
The new 2011 Mustang GT brings back a heritage that many of us muscle car guys grew up with known as the "Five Point Oh". From the street to the race track, the 5 liter Ford engine has been an icon for decades. In fact, much of the reputation Vortech has built up over the years is directly as a result of the power and reliability that our customers have enjoyed from our early model 5.0L systems. This legendary platform has been the springboard for most of our Supercharger breakthroughs. From the inaugural V-1 A-Trim, to the first quiet operating V-2 SQ, to the (still) unmatched and untouchable V-7 YSi-Trim, and even to the self-lubricated V-3 Si-Trims of today, the Vortech Supercharger has always been the best choice for Mustang enthusiasts all over the world. It is for that reason, even though some companies may feel comfortable repackaging the same old 4.6L kit from 2005, Vortech does not. This new 5.0L Vortech system is specifically engineered around the completely redesigned engine in the 2011 GT. Utilizing the V-3 Supercharger, horsepower gains per psi will eclipse competitor's models due to pure, unadulterated efficiency. That's 78% adiabatic efficiency for you tech-heads out there, which we would compare to the other guys' efficiency numbers if they even had the equipment to test for it...but they don't. The included air-to-air charge cooler is significantly larger than other offerings, translating into more effective charge cooling right out of the box, and substantially higher horsepower support on modified vehicles. The mounting location of this larger Intercooler is far superior as well, placing it directly at the lower bumper opening where it can be most effective, instead of behind the bumper where it will get little to no airflow across it. The air inlet ducting, a stylishly well designed roto-molded piece draws air from the stock airbox, instead of directly over the hottest point in the engine compartment. This benefit will not only all but guarantee 50 state emissions legality for this system, but will also allow for larger MAF and CAI selection down the road. You'd better mark this system down on your modification "To Do" list now, before you're the last one without one!

Fastlane 2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L Turbo
That's right, we're already playing with the 5.0L. not only do we have a 5.0L crate motor to build up, but we've also put a turbo on a factory OEM 5.0L motor. At just 6 PSI Boost with an Exhaust and our special tuning touch we've made 543 RWHP and 521 RWTQ through an automatic. JUST 6 PSI!!! Just think what it will do at 15 PSI on our built 5.0L motor! Check us out online or come by our shop! www.fastlaneturbo.com

World's First Programmable Supercharger In Action, ProCharger i-1
Bolt on 10's with an i-1 @ 7.5 psi and headers, with pump gas! Add up to 200 RWHP to your otherwise stock 5.0 4V, LS3 or 6.2L with only 7.5 psi (and stock Exhaust), or turn it up to 20+ psi on your modified engine. The world's only Supercharger with programmable Boost and touchscreen control is now shipping for 2014-11 5.0 Mustang GT, 2013-12 Boss 302 Mustang, LS3 Corvette and 2010+ Camaro SS applications, with i-1 systems for Ford F-150 SVT Raptors shipping in late November. Additionally, i-1 systems for 2007+ GM truck/SUV and HEMI SRT8 6.1L applications will be shipping in early 2014. http://www.procharger.com/i-1Supercharger.shtml This latest addition to the ProCharger line produces not only the largest power gains, but also the ultimate performance curve. With an intelligent control system and an optional touch screen display, drivers can switch between 3 factory supplied performance modes, as well as a custom mode. Personalized display screens and data logging are also available. Building on the benefits of centrifugal design, the i-1 delivers higher compressor efficiency than screw blowers, utilizes the most effective intercooling, and avoids the heat transfer associated with engine-top mounting or an Exhaust interface. Air-to-air intercooling is standard, and as experts agree, inherently provides better cooling and reliability than air-to-water Intercoolers for street use. Due to these advantages, i-1 technology delivers the coolest charge air, the most power with greatest repeatability, and best in class fuel economy. The patented programmable i-1 design produces immediate response, even at low engine rpm, without any turbo lag or Boost falloff at higher engine rpm. To further increase performance, competition mode can be quickly selected, and owners can use the touch screen to lock the Supercharger in low ratio mode or select a personalized mode. Designed to work with stock or modified applications, the i-1 can support up to 900 horsepower, similar to a D-1SC ProCharger. The ProCharger i-1 Supercharger has been rigorously tested in the lab, on the Dyno, on the street and at the track. Lab testing began in 2010, while Dyno and track testing, as well as daily driving of the company's test fleet, began in 2011. ProCharger i-1 models are available with the same industry-leading warranty coverage as the legendary P-1SC-1 ProCharger, as well as self-contained oiling--a design feature that ProCharger pioneered over a dozen years ago. Smaller and lighter than both intercooled positive displacement Supercharger and twin turbocharger kits, the award-winning i-1 ProCharger is available as a tuner kit or 100% complete system. This proven Supercharger has received an extreme amount of praise from across the industry for providing the largest power gains per psi, as well as several industry exclusive features. Designed and manufactured in the USA, i-1 ProChargers feature exclusive billet impellers and rugged gear cases. Programmable Boost is delivered by a highly durable variable ratio transmission design, with a rugged dry hybrid drive. Proven in over 4 years of intensive R&D and rigorous performance testing, the i-1 is available with ProCharger's optional 3-year Supercharger warranty. i-1 Supercharger systems are 100% complete, and are backed by ProCharger and its network of dealers. With an unmatched combination of technology, product options and winning experience, ProCharger is the Ultimate Power Adder.

Lethal Performance's 2011 Mustang GT on the dyno with the FRPP/Whipple Twin Screw Supercharger kit
**Sorry about the crappy sound. Not sure why that happened. We just got a new camera and I might have had to adjust something for the extreme loudness of he car on the Dyno** Here's a run on the Dyno from this afternoon. I'm not going to say what it made as you'll be able to read about it in an up and coming issue of 5.0 Mustang Magazine however I can tell you that the car is sick. We were fortunate to have our tuner Jon Lund fly down for the weekend to make a few tweeks to the car. Although we loved the FRPP tune we wanted to see what we could get out of it with a few other modifications such as a CAI and bigger throttle body. The combination of the two had us amazed. Just wait until Wednesday when we take the car to the track and you'll be able to see the difference the mods and custom tune made. It's basically a completely different car. For now enjoy the video and if you have any other questions please let us know. Thanks, Jared Lethal Performance, Inc www.lethalperformance.com 561-753-8105

2012 Mustang 5.0 Procharger street pulls
Since the weather was nice I decided to play around with the GoPro today and make a few pulls in the car. The stock clutch wasn't too happy so I was shifting around 6800-7000rpm. I will have more videos once the new clutch is in.
