2012 MINI Cooper S versus Fiat 500 Abarth 0-60 MPH Mashup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) Perhaps the car that most closely competes with the 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth is the equally diminutive MINI Cooper S. Both cars are tiny European hot hatches that make driving fun. Both cars are turbo charged and both cars will easily spin their from wheels when you slam down the accelerator. We also think that both cars will appeal to the same car shopper. So which of these two mini-rockets is faster to 60 MPH? Is it the Brit or the Italian. Check out this video to find out.

VW Polo GTI
As the Golf GTI grows ever larger, the pocket rocket label doesn't really apply any longer. If you hanker after the days of the smaller, lighter, more agile Mk I GTI, then you might be in luck. The Polo GTI encapsulates everything a hot hatch should be: it has all the add-ons to make it look faster and under the bonnet there's a 1.4 TSI engine to make sure it also goes faster. The question is: Will it be able to topple our current favourite, the Clio RS, from its throne?
GTI vs MINI COOPER S / rolling test (1/2)
Basically stock vs stock, (both 2011 models, 200hp DSG / 181hp 6MT)
GTI has APR Carbonio intake
MINI has Smaller/Lighter track wheel set up (16" 13.8 lbs from 17" 24 lbs stock)
from 60kmh, 2nd gear, GTI was in S mode.
I wanted to SEE how much of accerlation benefit I got from my new wheels/tires.
The result is as you see. (normal MCS LCI cannot compete with GTI)
I uploaded 2nd run video as well, which I let her GTI go first.
2012 Fiat 500 Abarth First Drive Review: The Everyman Ferrari
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) There can be no doubt that the 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth is the everyman Ferrari. Not only is it made by the company that owns Ferrari, but it perhaps more importantly it has that exotic super car Exhaust note that will send a shiver down the spine of any sports car lover. Just as importantly it also has the horsepower from its 2X inter-cooled turbo engine to backup the magnificent Exhaust note. With hardly any weight and 160 HP the diminutive Fiat 500 Abarth will tear up the race track or your local neighborhood street. In the process it will also out a huge smile on your face as you floor the gas and head for your favorite twisty road.

VW Polo GTI 0-100 km/h 5.6 sec.
This is my 2011 6R Polo GTI doing a 0-100 km/h run. I make it to be roughly 5.6 seconds, much faster than the manufacturer's claim of 6.9s.
It has an APR Stage 1 ECU tune, as well as a Harding Performance intake. Yes, I'm aware I short shift, but due to the small size of the stock turbo, there's no real point in changing gear any later.
Go the mighty Polo!
