Very few were built and fewer exist,making it the rarest of colors during the 18 years production run and 500,000 MGB's built.

MGB V8: Starting from the back ...again
An electrical connector fell off at the start of qualifying so we never got a timed lap. So... back of the grid again... And another funny race. I made it up to 5th at the driver change and looking at the lap charts, my fastest lap would have put us on the front row. Somehow I don't think the race would have been so much fun from P2 though...

Classic MGB roadster stuffed with 383 Chevy fed by jimmy blower and twin four-barrels. Reinforced Powerglide trans. Made for the street. Owner says, "When I want to pass a car, it's important I don't floor it until AFTER I pull into the passing lane."
MG, Porsche, and Triumph with the Zapata team at VIR Vintage
I was invited to go to the historic races in June at VIR by members of the Zapata Racing team out of Nashville TN. Being a car guy it was incredible. Cars you should only see in a museum are on the track doing exactly what they are designed to do....RACE.
It is amazing. If you have the means, you must go to one of these races.
