Friday Night drag race your ride check out all 2013 Jeep cherokee SRT8 Drag
I have to admit that I love this 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. Don't
necessarily understand why it exists, but I have a great time every time I
drive one. I loved the old one, too. Maybe my admiration for the "normal"
Grand Cherokee is spilling over to this performance model. Or something
I hear all the beefing: "It's a gas hog." "It's too big." "It weighs 5,000
like I said, I hear you, but I ain't listening. We can sit here and argue
for days about a hot-rod Grand Cherokee and its usefulness, or lack
thereof. Me, I'll be out of the office and behind the wheel, having a ball.
I think Chrysler did a nice job with the SRT package's more aggressive look
with a lowered ride height, massive wheels and tires and the red brake
calipers. It's tough-looking with a wicked hood.
The engine is cool. Once the tach hits 3,000 rpm the thing takes off like a
bottle rocket and makes all the right sounds while it's at it. In the name
of a wee bit of fuel economy, the 6.4-liter has cylinder deactivation,
noticeable by an "eco" light on the dash. I can also hear a flattening of
the Exhaust note when the Hemi is
running on four cylinders. According to the in-dash mpg indicator I
averaged 16 mpg in basically a 50/50 city/highway mix. Not great but not a
The interior is good with comfy seats and quality materials throughout. The
flat-bottom steering wheel feels perfect to me.
Some have said that compared to the old model this is a softer, not quite
as raw SRT8, and I suppose one could argue that it's more refined. The
steering is heavy and rough pavement can make the thing tramline some and
bounce around a bit. Still, in my opinion, it's a blast to drive.
1966 GTO drag racing 2011 Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk, OH Mike Green from 1AAuto.com
When he is not filming How To Videos you might find Mike Green behind the
wheel of his '66 GTO drag car. He does most of the work on the car himself
with the help of friends and family. These passes were filmed at the 2011
Pontiac Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk Ohio. The air was
hot and humid when this was filmed so times were off. As of August 2011
best pass is 10.531 @ 126.03 mph.
70 Double Blown GTO
My 1970 GTO with two blowers. It's 474ci Pontiac engine with a 8-71 blower
on top of a 6-71 blower. This is from the last day of being double blown.
I'm going to one single 8-71 blower and going racing. The front clip was
removed to make it easier to work on. The reason for the double blowers was
not as a power enhancement like many ASSume. I stacked the blowers to have
a car that stood out in the crowd. Most Pro Street cars were starting to
blend together. If you seen one, you had seen them all. That wasn't the
case with this GTO. Al someone had to say was "The double blower GTO" and
people knew which car. I was told it couldn't be done, so I attempted it
and it worked. It stayed that way for almost 2 years. I knew a twin turbo setup would make more HP. I knew I could
have run a 14-71 blower and made more power. That wasn't the point. I
wanted to be different than the other cars in the parking lot, I did that
now it's time to ove on. For all those people who don't understand why,
I'm not going to try and explain it to you anymore. Get over it. I didn't
expect EVERYONE to love it. But you won't forget it.

1969 Pontiac GTO Judge vs. 2006 Custom Pontiac GTO - Generation Gap: GTOs
Cast your vote here:
Today on “Generation Gap,” we’re visiting the Lingenfelter
Collection. Known for Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, Ken
Lingenfelter was kind enough to let us experience some of his personal
cars. Being able to check a few cars off our bucket list, we decided to
compare GTOs. Davin has picked the aggressive muscle of a 1969 Pontiac GTO
Judge, equipped with a 366 HP 400 V-8 High Output engine with Ram Air III.
Matt picked a bit of a cheater 2006 Pontiac Custom GTO. The modern GTO is
straight from GM Performance with a Twin turbo LS2 with 750 HP. Which one would you rather
