I know I havent done a truck video in awhile as been a busy years racing
and upgrading parts on the truck here is a video showing the changes I have
made. In April / May I had upgrated the top end of the engine with new
heads, intake, throttle body and bigger headers, later in the summer it got
some fresh paint.

A Large rock rolled over which caused the truck to land its left leaf
spirng on a large rock. (See previous video) I got a Smittybilt XRC10,
At first I try winching off of a rail road track not to far. It shifts me
over to side where there are 2 large rocks that were about to rip open my
door panel if I keep on going. Next I use my Snatch Block to redirect the
pull to pull the large rocks out of the way at the same time winch my self
forward. After that it was just a matter of shifting a few rocks around and
The winch did its job with ease. I recommend it to anyone.
I swapped in a Dana 44 with 4.11:1 gears Powertrax No-Slip Rear locker,
33in mud tires (for now). 12in lift. Solid axle swap/ Straight axle

Cash For Clunkers: Dodge Dakota 4X4 5.2 V8
An early 90's model Dakota 4x4 LE, in perfect condition, even the paint was
in good condition!
Has a 318 V8 engine. I could've used this truck to do so much work!
I liked this truck a lot.
Dodge Dakota Coolant Leak Repair - Including Bypass Hose, Thermostat, Water Pump, etc.
To get to what turned out to be a Thermostat leak we had to remove the
The Serpentine belt, the fan, the Air Conditioning Compressor, the
Alternator and the A/C and Alternator Bracket.
This way you can easily access the bypass hose, the thermostat housing, and
the upper heater hose (or otherwise called the heater to engine hose).
This also gives you free access to the water pump if you were going to
replace it. This is actually the easiest way to access the water pump as
opposed to the way the service manual describes removing it (without
removing the A/C and Alternator bracket).
However, after doing the job we discovered a second leak on the lower
heater hose (or the heater to water pump return hose). Which also needed
to be corrected.
Rear removable hitch winch. 1993 Dodge Dakota Smittybilt XRC10 Winch 10,000LB Test run
rear winch. This is a test of my winch. It is removable hitch winch. I
bought a hitch reciver mount. You never know when your on a trail and you
can't turn around to help a budy behind you, or the only anchor point is
behind you. Less then 3mins and it is ready to go.
I was not stuck. I just wanted to test it out. It ran nice no struggle at

Dodge Dakota V8
Got me a new toy at the auction last week. It's a 1993 Dodge Dakota 4x4
with the Magnum 318 V8 (5.2L). It needed a good tuneup. I replaced the
plugs, wires, cap, rotor, PCV valve, air filter and fuel filter. Now it
screams like a Magnum V8 should. Truck still needs a few things like a
windshield and new Exhaust, but still
not a bad deal for only $900.
